With so many TTAR variants running a Muk.. I decided to give a stripped down Idea that is fun and easy and loves to hit! Some of you older folks out there remember Ishtar, well since I am Fish, and Mantine d is in here.. I present for your viewing pleasure:
~FishTar~
POKEMON 17
4-3-4 Tyranitar
2-2 Delcatty
2 Mantine d
So the Pokemon line is really stripped down to get that TTAR out and Hammering as fast as possible. The second attack is what we are going for, but don't overlook the first one! Doing a possible 60 for 2 is no joke! One of TTARs strengths is his ability to withstand some damage! So starting with this BEEFY FELLA isn't an issue! Delcatty is well Delcatty... get the nrg in the discard and then use Mantine to put it back! I understand you were prolly trying to use Meganium d for setup, but why?! Damage reduction is nice, but I would go a 1-1 Nidoqueen d Line before tossing in a full 8 cards to search evos and have to do it all at once! This is a similar deck list I am currently testing out and it is no joke! It hammers hard and fast and is consistent! Now the Trainer Line:
TRAINERS 27
[DEL]2[/DEL] 3 TVR
[DEL]3[/DEL] 2 [DEL]TG Mars[/DEL] Professor Oak's Visit
1 Rowan
[DEL]3[/DEL] 4 Celio's
2 Roseanne's
4 Pokenav <--- WINNER in this Deck!
[DEL]2 Pokedex 910[/DEL]
4 Rare Candy
2 Night Maintenance
3 Great Ball
2 Warp Point
The old man is off his rocker right... let me tell you what it is all about first! TTAR is often I think misplayed IMHO as I think the idea is to thin the deck early so you have more Energy than anything else left over in the deck so when the Mantine's are gone, you are still going without necessarily having them to keep self damaging! TVR is there in case of a Cessation lock, but even then Mantine is lost... that will be the main issue here! No Windstorm! That is why it has to hit fast and Hard! [DEL]TGM helps hand reduction to possibly get Energy back in there deck.. can they search it out again, sure, but then they have to burn that search card which still hurts them some![/DEL] Going to Professor Oak's Visit has vastly sped up the deck! Drawing the 3 over the 2 and altering their hand has made the T2 more successful! Pokenav is the Champion in here!! Many TTAR players overlook this all important card.. it sets you up to save that Mantine!! Looking at the top 3 and then putting 2 back in any order is just asking for a Top Card Burn Deck! It speeds you up and gives you a shot at a Pokemon Card you might need! NTM you can snatch a DRE with it so it is a critical card that is a Regular Trainer so you still didnt burn your supporter for the turn! [DEL]Handy 910 is just another fast burn card and[/DEL] Great Ball is for the Mantine! Night Maintenance one back in and Great Ball it back out without burning a Roseanne or Celio! So see, the old man didnt lose it all! It could just work out all right!!
ENERGY 16
4 Special :dark:
4 DRE
5 :fighting:
3 :dark:
So the Energy is cut and Dry.... You really want the DRE asap so this is another reason for the Nav in the trainer engine! Max out on them as it allows TTAR to setup more Quickly to start Burning away their deck! 9 Basic NRG is tight, but manageable! Lost the Scramble as with this list, it is usually tied up or your ahead!
Well, there you have it!! ~FishTar~ It works and is fun to play and competitive! GL and SOTG!!
