With so many TTAR variants running a Muk.. I decided to give a stripped down Idea that is fun and easy and loves to hit! Some of you older folks out there remember Ishtar, well since I am Fish, and Mantine d is in here.. I present for your viewing pleasure:

~FishTar~

POKEMON 17

4-3-4 Tyranitar
2-2 Delcatty
2 Mantine d

So the Pokemon line is really stripped down to get that TTAR out and Hammering as fast as possible. The second attack is what we are going for, but don't overlook the first one! Doing a possible 60 for 2 is no joke! One of TTARs strengths is his ability to withstand some damage! So starting with this BEEFY FELLA isn't an issue! Delcatty is well Delcatty... get the nrg in the discard and then use Mantine to put it back! I understand you were prolly trying to use Meganium d for setup, but why?! Damage reduction is nice, but I would go a 1-1 Nidoqueen d Line before tossing in a full 8 cards to search evos and have to do it all at once! This is a similar deck list I am currently testing out and it is no joke! It hammers hard and fast and is consistent! Now the Trainer Line:

TRAINERS 27

[DEL]2[/DEL] 3 TVR
[DEL]3[/DEL] 2 [DEL]TG Mars[/DEL] Professor Oak's Visit
1 Rowan
[DEL]3[/DEL] 4 Celio's
2 Roseanne's
4 Pokenav <--- WINNER in this Deck!
[DEL]2 Pokedex 910[/DEL]
4 Rare Candy
2 Night Maintenance
3 Great Ball
2 Warp Point

The old man is off his rocker right... let me tell you what it is all about first! TTAR is often I think misplayed IMHO as I think the idea is to thin the deck early so you have more Energy than anything else left over in the deck so when the Mantine's are gone, you are still going without necessarily having them to keep self damaging! TVR is there in case of a Cessation lock, but even then Mantine is lost... that will be the main issue here! No Windstorm! That is why it has to hit fast and Hard! [DEL]TGM helps hand reduction to possibly get Energy back in there deck.. can they search it out again, sure, but then they have to burn that search card which still hurts them some![/DEL] Going to Professor Oak's Visit has vastly sped up the deck! Drawing the 3 over the 2 and altering their hand has made the T2 more successful! Pokenav is the Champion in here!! Many TTAR players overlook this all important card.. it sets you up to save that Mantine!! Looking at the top 3 and then putting 2 back in any order is just asking for a Top Card Burn Deck! It speeds you up and gives you a shot at a Pokemon Card you might need! NTM you can snatch a DRE with it so it is a critical card that is a Regular Trainer so you still didnt burn your supporter for the turn! [DEL]Handy 910 is just another fast burn card and[/DEL] Great Ball is for the Mantine! Night Maintenance one back in and Great Ball it back out without burning a Roseanne or Celio! So see, the old man didnt lose it all! It could just work out all right!!

ENERGY 16

4 Special :dark:
4 DRE
5 :fighting:
3 :dark:

So the Energy is cut and Dry.... You really want the DRE asap so this is another reason for the Nav in the trainer engine! Max out on them as it allows TTAR to setup more Quickly to start Burning away their deck! 9 Basic NRG is tight, but manageable! Lost the Scramble as with this list, it is usually tied up or your ahead!

Well, there you have it!! ~FishTar~ It works and is fun to play and competitive! GL and SOTG!!

It's rare to see anyone to make a deck with tyranitars, and u did it! :thumb:

em, have u tested scramble in this deck? i think this deck needs it.

The problem with Scramble is the tightness of the nrg. If you read the report on the nrg choice, you will see why. This list is consistent with either being tied or ahead. I understand Mantine will ko itself, but then you will ko with a scramble and then it is tied up again! DRE is just a better choice IMHO! The pure Speed is what gets you on this one! build it a test it out, I think you will be surprised!

Thanks for all the suggestions! Catty Ex might not be a bad idea at all, try it out and see if you like it! GL and Happy Building!!

I tested this thing yesterday and it's faster than i thought!

CC shouldnt be a problem, but stadiums such as CB/BF really shuts this deck down and there's no way to get rid of it.

And, ah, ur list has 62 cards! wrong count of pokemon, it should be 16 pokemons!

so what did you do to change this on the count, what did you take out??

Like I said, getting older and sometimes it slips. Forgot to auto adjust!

Glad you liked it!! Is is a the best (not just cuz I made it) TTAR list I have seen. It is truly consistent and sets up easily! Pokenav is just THE card in this deck! It is efficient and works really well!

THanks and again, would like to know what you tweaked!

- 1 TGM
- 1 great ball

i can only cut the trainers because there's no way to tweak the energy and pokemons.

also, i changed rowan to copycat.

Gallade + lake boundary is nightmare for this deck..... gotta find a solution!

POKEMON 16

4-2-4 Tyranitar
2-2 Delcatty
2 Mantine d

TRAINERS 28

2 TVR
3 Team Galactic Mars
1 Rowan
3 Celio's
2 Roseanne's
4 Pokenav <--- WINNER in this Deck!
2 Pokedex Handy 910is<--- Actor in Supporting Role
4 Rare Candy
2 Night Maintenance
3 Great Ball
2 Warp Point

ENERGY 16

4 Special
4 DRE
5 Fighting
3 Darkness Basic

Nice to see that the Catty's been upped! But anyways, the one thing I noticed after working with this a little is that the two Pokedex are really not that useful. Generally the card's purpose is deck thin (play a card to basically draw a card), so I feel it should only be played in a quantity of 4...or 0. I'd cut for the fourth Celio and possibly fit in another draw card/basic energy card.

I'd also love to make room for Pupitar #3, since the entire focus of your deck is one stage two line. That's easier said than done, though, so you could either use that extra spot from the Pokedex I suggested earlier.

So yeah, that sounds good: -2 Pokedex, +1 Celio, +1 Pupitar.

I'm also not too big of a fan of Mars. Sure, shuffling in a card can be devastating, but I feel you _not_ getting to draw a third card hurts even more. JMO for the moment, though.

This is definitely spiffy! Keep it up. : D

Is it just me or are there no Windstorms? The deck looks good minus that little snafu - a snafu that can cost you the game if a Battle Frontier or Cessation Crystal pops up. I'd REALLY add 3 Windstorms because you're quite reliant on the powers...my cuts would be 1 Mars, 1 Great Ball and..........maybe another Mars. It seems better to ditch the Mars alltogether for more TVR by the way.

Otherwise, great decklist.

Actually, it is;t that reliant on the powers! They are more of a supporting role and aren't fully necessary. They help Early game for the faster hit, but even then Catty is only used sparingly! This is definitely an advanced style deck and not easy to master the situation. Much like FlyCatty was last season. Windstorm would be helpful, but not a necessity! Thanks again!

JK, after talking to you last night about this one, and it was nice to speak to you outside of Pokemanz :thumb:, I adjusted some of the list today. I opted for more draw (as if it needs it) and I did consider the Celio add on! So the updated list is on top!!

Thanks for the help everyone! Glad to see ~FishTar~ is being accepted with open deck sleeves! For all who are afraid of Gallade, this is going to be a circular effect season again! Banette<Gallade<TTar<Banette so it will even out! TTAR if setup properly can handle Gallade, 45% of the time. But it has to setup first!

~Fish~

there's one thing, gallade OHKOs tyranitar while tyranitar needs 4 energies to 2HKO gallade! Gallade's gonna be pretty popular because blissey's popular too.....

^didnt meant to be that rude, but thats the fact..

Gallade OHKOs a lot of things. Its second attack is just brutal, and I understand the weakness issue, but that is why it is critical to get the T2/ T3 TTAR out and going. If you feel there are a lot of Gallade's in your area, then 1-1 Blasty d can get setup quick enough to help here. But in all honesty, Gallade will be balanced by Banette so it is the cycle as i Mentioned above. It is a crap shoot, but this is definitely a deck to have in the waiting if needed!

^^And what you said wasn't that rude, just honest. That I respect :thumb::biggrin:
