I personally like infercatty because nobody in my age group plays water types exept for noobs.
And Gatr is known as "The deck no good player loses to without bieng donked".
Inferncatty doesnt need techs, just run it.

john bovi: in the past infernape ran techs like Celibi ex and Mew *, but for the most part it doesnt anymore. Minun might be a good solid tech idea though.

I'll second the Sableye suggestion. Useful power, attack can be handy, and it's not a terrible start.

Try Ape with a smaller catty line and a 2-1-2 Meganium d line if you're concerned about water types. It pwns, AND it's great for your setup. Or try Typhlosion MT, evaporation is extremely disruptive to water decks and his power goes great in a deck like this with free retreating energy discarding pokemon.

The problem putting a Meganium d or Thyplosion MT is sacrifice some speed and good starts... in my opinion. Beginning with Catty is bad, beginning with Cindaquil or Chikorita its worse :lol:
