Xbox 360 or PS3? I need help...

Ok my friend (And me) are tring to decide on what we should get.
Between a 360 or PS3...
We both like Halo 3 and finial fantasy games...
Ones for one system while the other is for the other....
We are also looking for what system is better,,,
(Since he SOFTMODs his systems...... :nonono:)
What are the specs for the systems and what are the perks of each of them?
 
Xbox currently has the deepest game library out of the 3 systems. I believe its backward compatibility is complete, while PS3 is less than 50% (I think). Xbox has Halo, Gears, Oblivion, and Dead Rising as its Killer Apps. PS3 doesn't even have one yet. And I'm certain that the Xbox will get more games, as it's doing very well outside Japan. PS3 has gotten a bump, but I'm not sure how sustainable it is, and the developers seem to want to stay away from that system.
 
yo u forgot Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed and alot of the good games that r coming to PS3 are also coming to 360 like
Devil May Cry 4
Virtua Fighter 5 (already did but hey)
MGS4: Guns of the Patriot
and a few others idk some at this time but also becuase the PS3 overheats u play it for an hour an let it rest the other 23 (exxageration but something like that) and if u don't let it rest it can destroy ur house..
 
Get the 360.

The only good thing about the PS is the graphics. Other than that it sucks.

Personly I wouldn't get either, just get a Wii.
 
Yeah, definitely get a 360.

The Home update that the PS3's eventually getting is kinda cool, but it's really only a cross between The Sims and the 360's achievements system. Granted, I might buy a PS3 once Home is up, but that's only because I already have a Wii and a 360.

PS3's just not important, imo.
 
If you do go with the xbox 360 Iwould definately recommend the elite version!:thumb: I kinda wish I could upgrade to one my self but will stick it out with my regular 360. And I will tell you one thing! HALO3 ROCKS LIVE!!!:thumb:
 
There's little reason to pick the PS3 over the 360 right now (graphics are a terrible reason to choose PS3 over 360 since they're both essentially the same). The 360 has a more fleshed out library, better games, and is cheaper.
 
I suggest the ps3. It dosen't have much games right now but nice games are goping to be released soon like FFXIII MGS4 tekken6 GTA and more. PS3 graphics are better and ps3 can also read ps1 nad ps2 games(the 40gb version is 100% compatible)also on ps3 you can play much longer without overheating and its loading are slower.
 
Right now, most of the games you quoted are slated as multi-system releases. The Xbox has a much larger and better exclusive gaming library at the moment, and probably for a considerable amount of time to come. The PS3 simply isn't selling. Even in Japan, where they ADORE the Playstation series, it's only got an LTD of under 1.5 million. Wii is sitting at around 3.5 (from what I remember), and Xbox broke its own record of 200k for the year. However, worldwide, the Xbox is still the #1 seller at the moment (though Wii is pretty durn close), and it's because of its gaming library. If I want to play PS2/1 games, I'll save the $350 and buy a second hand PS2phat (and I'm probably going to do that). PS3 simply doesn't have any good exclusives, doesn't look like it will get any good exclusives, and isn't selling anywhere. If your choice is between the Xbox and the PS3, go with Xbox simply because of its gaming library.

Where did you get your information from? From all the reports i read the wii has been dominating sales. Worldwide its gets destroyed in japan lolz They dont give the 360 no love!! :mad: PS3 actually outsold the wii this november over there :confused:

Anyways this one is pretty simple lolz Get the 360 no doubt, why? Library aint THAT deep considering that its really not that well rounded, but umm they have a library lolz Exclusives, 360 has Sony beat. GTA and many other franchises that were once only sony now do games for multi systems. Final Fantasy?? I guess your meaning 13, i wouldnt worry about that since it comes out in 09 lolz If MGS4 and FF13 are as good as i expect them to be i may have to buy a ps3 >.<

But right now the ps3 just doesnt have a library. The 360 your guarnette great games and gerat future games and definately the most stable system you can go with. Wii may have a bit more betta games, but its more gimmicky and the 360 is like....what ps2 was :lol:
 
Xbox 360 right now is the better system. There are more and better games for 360 right now and Xbox Live is a lot better than the PSN. As for when it comes to comparing the specs on the systems they're pretty equally matched in terms of what you're going to be able to see for graphics. Games make the system and 360 has a lot more/better games than PS3 right now. If you go with the 360 pick up Bioshock along side any other games you plan to get.
 
Probably should go with the Xbox 360, it's more established and imo has the better games out now. Also, don't get their basic, home edition one (the cheapest one), but rather get the one that's at least a step above it (Pro or something like that).

As of September (might've been October, can't find the NPD data), Xbox led the Wii in US+Japan sales by about 100k. The assumption is that the rest of the world widens that gap significantly, mostly because of the head start that Xbox has. I'm assuming that the Wii hasn't covered the gap yet. If it has, the two are still very close in worldwide LTD numbers.
