I can't vouch for the latest rumours, but thought people would be interested. This is mostly in relation to the new games, so mods: feel free to move if this is not the best place. But it does have hints of new Pokémon, which should mean more cards...

To answer the actual question, KMC sleeves are great, if a little expensive. Some prefer normal penny sleeves in case you damage the card putting it in such a tight fitting sleeve (but this shouldn't be an issue). Ultra-pro came out with a similar product... Waynegg told us about it. Which...

A lot of that will be expense inflation/profitability loadings. (Sigh... my stupid exam actually came in useful to someone :-/)

Agree with you that more than one copy was made (especially if PCL were involved, we're pretty sure they have archival copies of everything they make). That doesn't make it any easier for a 'normal' collector to get their hands on one...
