I started collecting Pokemon cards way back in first grade--The base set. My first Holofoils were Raichu and Gyrados, which I actually bought as single cards. It wasn't until later, that I would joyful, and carefully, tear open my first pack and show off my shiny Venosaur, which knew Solar Beam. Although I strayed from the Pokemon Path during the days of Pokemon E, and even along Delta Species, I still collect pokemon cards as exuberently as I did way back then as a six year old.
