I was just responding to the post above mine about SR's "Serebii bashing." I don't want people thinking SR is just bashing someone out of the blue for no reason since it is indeed a fact that Serebii used to do that a lot. The poster right after him asked why it's "okay" to bash Serebii and...
Oh come on, I've only talked on the toilet a couple of times. :p
Serebii used to be very well known for being a bully in the Pokemon community. Even TV Tropes acknowledges this, lol. He's calmed down in recent years though.
"Serebii" (real name Joe Merrick, ironically provided by a page...
Wait, what? You guys didn't get that? The whole post was talking about how I used to post scans before the official events. For some sets, I did it over a week in advance of the prereleases. Usually though it was just a couple days before. The whole post was saying I'm sorry for doing that and...
No, no it was not. The prerelease scans all use the same filenames as the eventual final versions. They get replaced when Shakespeare uploads the new ones. Maybe it was still in your cache.
Proof: http://pokebeach.com/ftp.jpg
The scan was replaced in November. Besides, what's your point?
Maybe it didn't even last one set because I never agreed to anything like that? And I'll tell you exactly why I never would have agreed to anything like that. At that Worlds, Dave and I went outside to talk about some things and he said TPCi might be interested in working with PB to release...
T&T doesn't get any insider info. The second I post something they usually update their listings. So I would not trust their listings of these two cards one bit.
I'm not trying to be "professional." PokeBeach is my blog and always has been. I don't know why this is so shocking to people. I could be "professional" if I wanted to be (working in the film industry makes you that way and I am a complete "professional" when it comes to my work in the real...
The front page of Pokemon.com, their new Facebook, and their new Twitter account are all for marketing purposes. They would never advertise most P!P issues (or even tournaments in general, unless it's Worlds?) because that's not where the money or interest is. Remember, P!P is just to get people...
I am chill, I was just trying to understand what you were saying. :p
That's a very true point. But if you're dealing with a system where these announcements are going to be made at the last minute, you either need to setup a better way of making sure they get out properly or make the decisions...
Sorry, but that's a very poor excuse. There's Twitter, there's Facebook, heck, their Japanese counterparts have TWO blogs. Do you know how stupid-dumb it is to setup a Twitter account and post to it? It would probably be much faster than the red tape they seem to have to go through with their...
If that's the case, that's a problem. People like Dan B. and Dave S. (or whoever set the P!P policies) should be able to update the site as soon as they know something. Though I sorta remember hearing something a while ago about them having some trouble getting things up right away, so it's...
*smacks*
Forget you, I'm most qualified for the job! :p If only TPCi was in California... I'd totally be running it. :D :D :D
Props to TPCi for updating their Regionals page. I hope they continue to do that from now on and that additionally such announcements related to P!P come from them...
Gah I wrote this like two hours ago but my Internet died and now I'm at skewl.
No one is crucifying the TOs or PTOs. I'm sure everyone knows and appreciates that they go out of their way to check on these issues because they genuinely care about their players, as with Bulbasnore's thread on the...
