I always did like to sound like familiar cartoon characters and people say i can sound very well like the characters im sounding like. But when i record it and play it back it sounds horrible and even people say the recording does not sound like me.
What good audio programs can i use to proper record my voice impersonating?
So far im really good at doing the shin chan cast.
Thanks.
PS-Can the microphone effect it too?

Try Audacity for recording. It's a great, free program that records at fairly high quality, and you can do what you wish to the actual recording once done to enhance it. And, if it's too loud, there's a feature to bring down the volume. I suggest giving it a shot. I've been using it when I record myself doing vocals from time to time, and it works out incredibly well.

It could be the microphone, depends on the microphone that you use. I don't use one that's really advanced, one that's built specifically for a computer, and it seems to work out just fine.

definitely the microphone. The $20 ones you buy at like target are going to make EVERYTHING sound horrible.
