The 2012 New Mexico Pokémon State Championship is coming!!!


Basic Information

Location:

Albuquerque Convention Center – 401 2nd St. NW, Albuquerque, NM

West Complex- Lower Level- In the Cochiti/Taos

Date: Saturday, March 24th, 2012

Time: ---->Registration begins at 8:30 AM (Registration ends at 10:15 AM). Player meeting begins at 10:30AM.
The main tournament (swiss rounds) can last 5 to 6 hours.


You must be in the registration line with your decklist ready no later than 10:15 AM or you may receive a first round loss or not be allowed to enter the event.

Three Age Divisions: Juniors (born in 2001 or later)/Seniors (born in 1997, 1998, 1999, or 2000)/Masters (born in 1996 or earlier)

Format: Modified Constructed Deck (bring your own deck - Cards are allowed from HeartGold SoulSilver to current set. Also, Black Star Promos numbered HGSS01 and higher, BW01 and higher, HS Trainer Kit, Black and White Trainer Kit, and McDonalds Collection cards).
Note: A limited amount of loaner decks are available for new players who want to participate but may not have a legal deck to use.
Style: We will do Age Modified Swiss (all players will play in every round in their age group)

Cost: FREE


All participants will receive a 2012 States promo card (while supplies last).

A Pokémon TCG S/P/T Championships 1st Place award, Cap,
A $300 travel allowance to participate in the Pokémon TCG National Championships (U.S. & Canada)
This allowance will be given on-site at the National Championships.
A combination of 36 booster packs from current Pokémon TCG expansions
A first-round bye at the U.S. or Canada National Championships
10 Championship Points

2nd Place
A Pokémon TCG S/P/T Championships 2nd Place award, Cap
A combination of 36 booster packs from current Pokémon TCG expansions
8 Championship Points

3rd & 4th Place
A Pokémon TCG S/P/T Championships 3rd/4th place award, Cap
A combination of 18 booster packs from current Pokémon TCG expansions
6 Championship Points

5th through 8th Place
A combination of 9 booster packs from current Pokémon TCG expansions
5 Championship Points

9th Place through 12th Place
4 Championship Points (if division attendance is 32 or greater)

13th Place through 16th Place
3 Championship Points (if division attendance is 64 or greater)

17th Place through 32nd Place
2 Championship Points (if division attendance is 64 or greater)

33rd Place through 64th Place
1 Championship Point (if division attendance is 128 or greater)
 
See you all next weekend...I hear Colorado, Texas, Arizona and Utah are going to be making an appearance!

This is going to be a good tourney. I wanna see New Mexico take home some wins! The Santa Fe crew will be coming up, see you there!
 
Packing up the goodies, soooooooo much i cant bring them all myself! Valerie has offered to drive over (not up or down) to ABQ with some of the items! LOL

FOOD UPDATE:

Confirmed there will be the FOOD CONCESSION Stands set up for the entire day! Just like in the past years.
The event is being held in the Lower Level- In the Cochiti/Taos room.
The Food Concession stands will be one level up from us.

REMEMBER No food is allowed in the actual event room! However, we will have Water coolers in the room for everyone.
