I have memories of dawn mew in active and watch and learn sudowoodo on the bench. My opponent knocked out one of my pokemon with his ultra necrozma's photon geyser last turn and is ahead in prizes. I attach counter energy to mew and use the benched watch and learn to do photon geyser. Would this discard counter energy to do the extra damage or does counter energy never count as basic energy?
