    Thank You, Pokegym!

Due to an overseas move, I will have to quit playing the Pokemon TCG for at least 2 years. Thus, this will be my last post on the 'Gym for a while. Thank you to everyone on here who has ever helped or commented on my decks, tournament reports, or any other things that I have posted. You guys...

    Simon B. ~ Top 16 Seniors ~ US Nationals

Congrats on your Top 16, Simon! Sorry I couldn't make it to Nats this year. Best of luck in the future! -Aaron

    Liquid Burner!

Great article! However, as is the case with most readers, I have a couple of questions. The deck is very interesting, and I can see you drawing a lot if you manage to keep drawing into fire energy, and the Unown can allow you a sudden burst of draw. Thus, I see you having a very powerful...

Masters 1st place Southern Plains Regional report

Huge congrats on winning, Alex! My non-Sableye start did kill me, and you just got set up too fast for my deck to do its job. We still had a great game, though. Hope to see you at Nats! -Aaron

    Top 8 Houston Regionals

Hey, Len! It definitely was a good game, and I forgot I sprayed your 2 Uxies. I played 3 LuxChomps back to back to back, so I guess I did forget some of the details of each of the three games. Alex2k- Yeah, but for busy reasons this was only my second tournament. Thanks for the congrats!

    Top 8 Houston Regionals

Brent- Thanks! I hope I can make it to Nats too. And it was really bad that eventually you, Matt, or I would have to kill each other off if one of us would have won. Meanwhile, KAITLYN was happily by herself on the other side of the bracket. Haha. dialga master- Thank you! I appreciate that...

    Top 8 Houston Regionals

In the days leading up to Regionals I wasn't so sure about what I was going to play. Magnezone/Regirock was the deck I played for States, and I did OK with that. However, I knew it could beat LuxChomp and VileGar, but I didn't like its consistency against those decks. So I started testing other...

    Tangrowth nom noms in Houston!

Hey, this is Aaron from your top 32 match. You had an awesome deck and a great run, and I'm really sorry about your unfortunate weakness pairing in top cut. I'm especially sorry about the luck I got when I got the Donk in our first game. Good luck in the future!

    1st Place Houston Senior's Report

CONGRATS, PAYTON!!! It's so nice of you to finally win a Regional after the unfortunate things that have happened to you in the past at big events.

    Top 4 Houston Regionals

Congrats on top 4, Josh! I did all I could in our top 8 game, but Gyarados is still a very difficult matchup for me. Your single Lost Remover killed me, as I would have been able to Dragon Rush next turn for a prize. Game 2 did not go well for me, and in game 3 you managed to kill both of my...

    Gallade is at regionals :D

    Congrats on your win, Olliver!!!

What will win Regionals and WHY?

I think Luxchomp will win regionals. It's a solid play in pretty much any metagame, and it has the ability to win any matchup. I know there are decks that can beat it, but it can stand up to pretty much anything.

    Gyarados + Luxray lvx

Also, Trainers like Junk Arm (and I've even seen Pokedrawer +s) seem to make a Gyarados deck more consistent than running Luxray.

SP Psychic Mix (fast and awesome)

If you are running Psychic Energy and SP Pokemon, why not add in Promocroak? It really helps against Magnezone/Regirock and it can also help against Luxray GL, who will probably be taking prizes by damage.
  18. Nekizalb

    Jirmega(Fast and powerful)

I would advise something to help against Luxray GL. Even with Expert Belt you are still only hitting for 90. I think that Black Belts could help, or even the Metapod that removes weakness. (I forgot which set, sorry.) Also, Giratina PL would probably work well in here too. It is easily...
