I was watching it with a couple friends who don't play the game and it was funny because I would commentate for them and the announcers would (almost) never match up with what I was saying...or it would come out 5 minutes later.

Which is exactly what they should have done. It's honestly ridiculous to have 127 players and have a Top 16. Let 8 more players in and have 135, 7 rounds, T32. Very disappointed and feel sorry for the Worlds competitors this year.

It was speculated last year that the byes at the LCQ were given based on ELO. One of the main arguments for this was because _all_ the Japanese players played round 1, and it was only a small percentage of people who did have to play round 1.

My brothers and I have all qualified a couple times together. An unfortunate side effect of this was Worlds 05 where my brother Chris and I were both in 11-14 (seniors) and had to play each other...in round 1. :X
