If you're adamant about putting such a card in, maybe you should look into Drifblim SF. It can get back any one card from your discard, helps you set up, and in SP decks, works as a Mewtwo counter but not really.

The energies in the HGSS theme decks aren't the "old" ones, as they still have the gold and silver border consistent with the set they're in, and don't contain the "capsule" design the DP era energies had. The ones in the booster packs simply have the silhouette artwork printed on them as well.
