The ENergy of many wonders.
Only works with Basic for a wonderful rainbow with no drawback but if attached with specials, BAD.
lemme rate it... say, 4/10. depends on deck.

Because the current format (HP-MT) has no Rainbow nrg to work with, this card is a decent replacement.
However the requirements make it hard to use in any deck which needs more special energy cards.

So for the current modified (HP-MT) 8/10
in case Rainbow nrg returns 5/10

Ahh, Multi Energy. This card's been around practically forever (or since Sandstorm, at least). If you pull it in a Limited tournament, play it. It'll help you immensely since most Limited decks tend to run multiple types.

In the current Modified format, it's halfway decent, but only if you run multiple types. Its reversion to :colorless: if attached to a Pokemon that has a Special Energy already attached to it is a major hangup, however.

5/5 Limited, 3.5/5 Modified.

Multi has been out for a very long time, ever since ex sandstorm was released. Its a very good card with one small drawback (which can be fooled around with). Which is if you have 2 special energies, multis become colorless but a smart player wouldnt do that. Its a very neat card that can fit tons of deck that require different kinds of energies so you can attack with the right pokemon at the right time.

Modified- Sweet card to play if your playing 2 or more different types. But if your only playing one type of pokemon in the deck, then the card would be useless 8/10

Limited- Very good card to play with. especially when your being forced to play different types in your deck. 10/10

Unlimited- One of the best cards to use in a deck with good drawbacks. Rainbows pretty good as well when your only putting 1 damage counter. 10/10

Mulit Energy is a fun card that can be splashed into decks that have multiple Energy requirements. The only real downside is that if you attach another Special Energy to a Pokemon with Multi on it, Multi reverts into a single Colorless Energy. In many ways, Multi is a Rainbow Energy that doesn't damage you, but instead has the said above effect.

Modified - 8.5/10 (Most decks usually focus on a single energy line, but Multi is still useful should you need it, especially since Rainbow is gone for the time being)
Limited - 10/10 (As many Limited decks run multiple lines of Pokemon that each require different Energy, Multi is wonderful here)
Unlimited - 10/10 (Still retains its versatility here, either this or Rainbow is used depending on what you run)

Multi Energy is one of those cards that you probably don't know the power of it, until you use it. Even though it might seem bad (the colorless effect thing), it played a key part in a very good deck of last season (lucariolutions), and it will continue to see play this season.
9/10

Multi Energy : It misses it's friend Rainbow Energy. Pretty good for most Decks, but make sure you remember it can turn colorless!

Modified: 8/10 Pretty good for MOST not ALL decks.
Limited: 10/10 : Play it :p
unlimited: Who plays this?

Amazing, amazing card. This thing made multi-type attacks playable, alongside DRE and Scramble.

Multi Energy is the toned down version of Rainbow Energy: meet all Energy Type requirements without hurting yourself. The catch is, of course, that if there is any other Special Energy attached, it only provides (C). With proper use, this shouldn't be an issue. This card wasn't designed to replace Rainbow Energy in all decks, just a few: namely if all you need is to meet one off color requirement, you run these. The only time in such a deck it would be bad is if you only drew into copies of Multi Energy and thus were unable to attack because of the draw back. Simply put, that's just bad luck and is a part of the game, and not a reason to ignore this card.

If you're using Pokemon delta, then you just use delta Rainbow Energy. If you're using a non-Pokemon-ex Evolution and need more than one Energy of all types, you'd use Double Rainbow Energy. For just a single Energy need of an off type, you run Multi Energy.

Ratings

Unlimited: 3/5 - It isn't actually a bad card, just rarely needed.

Modified: 3.5/5 - Still isn't needed that much.

Limited: 4.5/5 - Often needed, and when it is it makes running decks so much easier.

Multi Energy is really only super-useful if your deck cannot make effective use of Double Rainbow Energy or Scramble energy (I.E, your deck relies on Basic Pokemon, Exes, or multi-typed bench-damaging attacks). and does not run too many Special energies.

Modified: 5/10
It's just too limited.

Limited: 10/10
Well, duh. Almost anything which gives you an added boost in powering up your Pokemon is amazing here.

Unlimited: 2/10
Most decks here run other Special Energies (Double Colorless, for example), making this ito a single [C] energy with NO added effects. Nah, I'll have an Arby's Melt instead.
