Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

2007 Autumn Battle Road - Oregon Locations

Hello people. I am at the Arm of Stronging. In my effort to be all-powerful, I fired Nanette from her update job and am now updating you losers who didn't show up. You suck, I don't love you.

jk, I love you. Marvin loves everyone.....everyone who SHOWED UP TODAY!!!!!!!!

Clint won....again............... <----@_@---->!!!!

Mr Raichu's family, not the man himself mind you, won T2 in Masters. Just proves that it takes a female in Chris' family to do anything worthwhile. However, in an effort to crush the dreams of all little kids everywhere, Mr. Raichu cheated his way to victory using Pokemon in a DS tourney. He is the only person who showed up today who I do not love, in spite of the fact that I hugged him twice, two more times than anyone else there. Except mysef. I hugged myself f(x) = X^2 - 3x, x =/= 0 times.

Just to make all you kids feel inferior, f'(x) = 2x - 3. Oh, what now? I no math!

(BTW, CMex and OSP are also here)

Corvallis BR

Attendance: 49

(we wanted to hit 50 but too many opted out to support their soccer teams and play there instead of a BR. Can you believe it? )

Winners: as Phazon Elite posted above.

To recap (because I don't want him firing me from my job. . . )

Masters: June C. beating out her daughter Lindsey for the Victory Medal.

3/4: Marvin and Trevor

Seniors:
Clint won another big duel against Keegan C.

Juniors:

Riley W. "Blaze" beating Jonathon H.

3/4: Lily H. (Jonathon's sister) and Oliver.

I didn't do well going 1-4 but I sure encountered the "spirit of the game" today in many of my matches. Several were close and my oponents, especially June and Corey C. were great, giving me some helpful hints on my play.

Great job everyone.

Oh, thanks to OSP for loaning me a deck. No, don't blame the deck maker on my 1-4 record, it's was certainly me, the player.

Clint.

No.

I can make any of these cause I dont have a legal deck.. D:

Oh well, Ill make whatever whenever... :p

The Rockets triumph (for the most part) once again! Although it seems team Raichu is getting more powerful..... Good thing we're slowly stealing their members.

[R]: we missed you. Where were you?

and F_S: when will we see you as judge again?

Seth: get back in the game! Save up your allowance and come to the Portland pre-release. Bring your DS as the prize is primo!

:smile::smile:

p.s. I found a blue cooler and a bag of snacks at the Corvallis BR. Let me know if they are yours and I'll save the cooler. I don't guarrantee the food to be there. I must warn you that Phazon Elite is a chocolate milk guzzler and CMex raids the refrigerator. Ya gotta watch them.

I'll remember that at the next tournament I judge.

Must you always hold a grudge and act like a blowhard? That's why you're never loved. JK, please don't hold that against me.

I took second in today's DS tournament. I lost only to Clint, who dominated the Eugene DS tournament but LOST 2 matches in the BR, so he didn't even make top cut in this time. Andrew Jackson won Seniors. As for Masters, I left before they finished. And Juniors... I forget. :frown:

OK, fine, I'll hire Nanette back. ^^

You: "You suck, prize penalty!"
Me: "GENERIC HILARIOUS RESPONSE IN A DEEP VOICE WHICH ANNOYS EVERYONE AROUND ME"
You: "Don't taunt my insane fingernail ownage. Life penalty."

Wow,l that's SO AWESOME!

In news that anyone important actually cares about, I made my DS debut today, landing a solid third; an impressive placing considernig that I was in no way prepared for the tournament. In fact, the conversation I had with some random guy upon hearing of WiFi tourney structure went something like this:

Dude: "Dude. you can use 100's today."
Me: "No I can't."
Dude: "Yes you can: we're gonna have it on Wi-Fi."
Me: *in husky, randy nerd voice* "WELL, THAT'S AMAZIZIZING!! I'LL JUST HAVE TO ENTER, THEN!!"

Then round one started, so I had around two minutes to choose my guys: Lugia (who died once all day), Dugtrio (who got sent out twice all day) and my insanely horrible Metagross (who I led with, only to always switch to Lugia immediately). Seriously, my Metagross is SO bad; I chose the one I raised WAY back when I first got the game and was all "ZOMG, METAGROSS NEEDS PSYCHIC!!!" But, yeah, clint was the only person there I couldn't beat (Cmex, who I did not play, and the guy I beat to decide 3rd and 4th had the EXACT same team, so by proxy....).

Then, I was all ready to sulk and go home, but my car battery died because I was smart and decided to leave my lights on earlier that day. Luckily, THE Don saved my from eternal entrapment in Eugene with his friend's jumper cables of justice.

So, yeah. Fun weekend. XD

Congratulations Clint! How many BR wins are that so far? I cannot wait to see everyone in Oregon. Maybe that will happen for City Championships, if not then I guess it will be States and Regionals for sure. It is good to hear that Trevor is back playing this season!

For someone so crazy about going to worlds last year you seem to be judging a lot of tournaments, what's up?

He's finally joined the ranks of other has-beens like Mr. Raichu.

Just watch; he'll probably get married and adopt a high school girl just so he can sic them on all of us in an effort to make up for his own glaring weaknesses just like Mr. Raichu does. XD

People always seem to do a lot better when i'm not there busting heads. Still, Team Rocket triumphs, without my help.

Eugene BR

OK, fine, I'll hire Nanette back. ^^

Thanks Phazon.

Yes, Eugene was a fun day, as always. Thanks to Drew333 for getting us the room for the day and for the WiFi setup. Thanks to THE Don for helping run the event and his son Vance for moving tables, chairs, etc!! What a lovely day to eat lunch out in the sun. Mr. Raichu, as always, running a smooth event.

attendance: 39

Winners;

Juniors:
1st. Jonathan H. (Corvallis member who came in second on Sat.)
2nd. Oliver

Seniors:
1st. Andrew J. (fellow Corvallis league member)
2nd. Eleki (local Eugene kid does good)

Masters:

Top 4:
Daniel Z.
Dillon M.
June C.
Lindsey M.

I don't know the finals but I heard it was between Dillon and June.

DS tourney: Clint beat Kayhon but you already know that. Those final battles on the big screen are certainly exciting. Nice prices. :thumb:Thanks Don & Co.

See you at the pre-release. (gotta work on my costume).
