first card review!

considering that Ninetales is stage 1 and needs only 2 :fire: energy to do 60 dmg, you can get it out prettty quick. its a pretty decent card. not enough hp tho. a 60 water atk can OHKO it. power can be useful especially with those types that are weak to its own type such as :psychic: and :colorless

id say 8/10

I have to agree w/you there The 2x weakness and low HP is a bit of a downside. 2 Fire fo 60 is ok, but only if your opponent has a Grass type lying in wait.

Personally love the card the power can be beastial vs Gardy/Lade with Lake Boundary just go psychic and one shot anything with 1 PP or Str Charm and 60 for 2 makes it that much easier
Downside though is yeah only 80hp won't last long and +20 weakness can make it an easy kill for most water

Modified: 8/10 (as a tech mostly)
Limited: 9.5/10 (Stage 1, cheap attack can OHKO most basics)
Unlimited: 2/10 (Don't see anywhere for this to shine or do good)

Ninetales from SW gives us a nice tech card. Stats-wise, Ninetales is average: 80 HP is solid for a Stage 1, +20 Weakness to Water is average (though being weak to a popularish type isn't good as always), no Resistance, and 1 Retreat Cost. Its Poke-Power, Color Shift, is pretty nifty, allowing Ninetales to become the same type as a type of Pokemon your opponent has out until the end of the turn. This is especially great for Pokemon types/decks that have a Weakness to their own type (Psychic Pokemon in general and Gardevoir/Gallade decks being a good example). Combined with a Lake Boundary Stadium, this gives Ninetales some real potential. Its sole attack, Fire Blast, does a solid 60 damage for 2 Fire Energy, and requires you to discard one of those Fire Energies.

Modified - 8/10 (Solid tech card given the popular decks out there)
Limited - 9/10 (Solid, cheap Stage 1 line with a great attack)
Unlimited - 1/10 (No use here really)

I saw it get a lot of hype at one Cities in particular, but I was left unimpressed.

7.5-8, somewhere in there depending on what you're pairing or teching it with.
A first pick in draft.

Like everyone says, this is a good tech against gardy/lade. I guess it is okay in any deck with enough space and DRE, but where it really shines is in Happy Cat (Blissey/Delcatty). A 1-1 line is easy to fit in, and helps a lot with weakness. Also, it fits into the theme of quick damage and discarding energy.

Doesn't Typhlosion get Fire Energy from the Discard? If so, Nintetales goes first attacks then Phlosion gets the Fire energy back to power itself up.

If that is the case, perhaps it helps:

"3" fire energy for 60 hmmmm... nah you may get weekness for 80 but not likely. Returning energy to bench maybe nice, if you have 2 typhlotion you can attack a energy to a different pokemon while you cycle ninetails out. A little problem is that 3 spaces on your bench is filled up and not much back up and still can be sniped.

Modified 7.5/10
Limited 7 (Even though they have a likely chance that they put pokemon in their deck that is week to each other it's a wasted energy a turn.)

i like this card because in an metagame where it's 90% phychic being able to ohko (with lake boundry help) without the phychic weakness is so great... plus it's weak to water.... and who plays water?
