call energy is amazing. now there is no reason to hesitate using that T1 rare candy to your stage 2 with that expensive 3 energy attack because you can still 'do' something.

It's a TM and an Energy in one card.

Unless your main attackers have very specific Energy requirements, this goes in your deck.

I can see this becoming as popular and as hard to get as DRE is now.

9/10.

It's fantastic, but Pachi is still good if you have the extra space.

3-4 Pachi and 2-3 Call gives you great consistency.

10/10

A rly reliable card for when you begin a game or have Night Maintenenced critical basics back into your deck.

100/10.

This card eliminates bad starts which saves so many decks, 10/10

I put 2-4 in every one of my decks.

One of the best Special Energy cards to be printed in a while, Call Energy can fit into almost any deck. Its effect of being able to search your deck for 2 Basic Pokemon makes it a great card if you start with it, and is a very flexable option as opposed to running a dedicated "starter" Pokemon, such as Pachirisu. At worst, later in the game, it still provides 1 Colorless Energy, which most Pokemon can use anyways, so it's not a completely dead card later on.

Though this card can be splashed into virtually any deck, it combos best with Phione, letting you search out your basics and evolve at least 1 of them within 2 turns, all with minimal effort. Granted though, the odds of starting with or obtaining both cards within 2 turns is unlikely, but is still a great way to set-up regardless.

Modified - 10/10 (A great card for any deck that doesn't use/need a dedicated starter Pokemon)
Limited - 9/10 (Though its effect is somewhat less useful since you should be running plenty of Basic Pokemon, it still can be useful in searching out a specific Basic and it still provides Energy)
Unlimited - 2/10 (Can be used I guess, but you shouldn't need to)

99/100

Here is a before and after shot:

Before: Half of my few lost battles lost by having no pokemon left in play.

After: No lost battles since...lol, but if they are, they aren't going to be by knockout like that!

I use a Honchrow Deck, think that this card help by getting out those murkrow to use dark genes?

The ONLY SLIGHT draw back to this card is when I use it with my new MD Darkrai cards, the sleeping
affect only works when I play it from my Hand, so the call energy play won't activate that affect. But hey,
it's still the best card in the set in my opinion, and will be one of, if not THE, most widely used card from
any diamond and pearl sets released thus far. This card is a stradagy changer.

I don't think he was making a joke. Chatot is ridiculous. A Copycat attack goes pretty well with Call Energy itself I think.

Yea.....but you can't do both. Either you play the Call Energy and negate the offer (don't opt to get 2 Basics).
Unless you do Call Energy 1 turn and then Chatot's move to copy the opponent's hand.

10/10 Limited
2/10 Unlimited
4/10 Artwork

It's not good in decks that want basic energy, have specific energy requirements, play Pachirisu GE, or don't need a lot of Pokemon in play. Also, it's not searchable. I know a broken combo with it though.

In limited you need all the search cards you can get, and also providing energy is too good.

There are better cards in Unlimited.

Too bright.

I think it's one of the best special energies from the D&P series. It, like said, elminates bad starts and works great if you've got very different basics that are needed, most common search-> baltoy and piplup/ralts/magmar.

8/10

Thanks for this. It's the best laugh I've had in weeks.

Same. And I do agree with Drew that Chatot is the best card in this set next to this one and Phione. Any Pokemon with a bulit in copycat for no energy can be game changing, especially if its T1.

I don't think he was making a joke. Chatot is ridiculous. A Copycat attack goes pretty well with Call Energy itself I think.

It's so ridiculous it's not even funny. This is the biggest mistake for a pokemon card nintendo has made since they made the sandstorm dunsparce basic.
