I could see DRE return only if it was somehow restricted to one per deck (unique.)

Double Rainbow Energy - Star?

As to the topic at hand Rainbow Energy I find myself in agreement with the majority.

The utility of providing one of ANY energy type far outweighs 1 damage counter and can be very useful combined with some pokemon.

It can even be mixed in with Multi Energy in decks that do not require two of one type energy to power the attack.
Say that last part again...:confused::confused:

He's pretty much saying it could work for attacks that use something and a colorless.

:fire::colorless, for example.

See, Multi-energy stops working if there are any other special energies attached... It turns into a colorless energy.

Most decks that run Dialga G Lv. X are probably gonna be running close to a playset of these so that they can still attack with it besides shutting down the opponent's Trainers and Poke-Bodies.

Infact Rainbow Energy is pretty solid for being able to attack with your off color Pokemon, goes great in Dusknoir/Gengar decks that run Froslass but why bother Unown G kills the deck and so does Manectric (Platinum). I can see Gigas.dec running these as well, it doesn't work in Chomp cause Rainbow Scale gets negated in the process.

Draw power may infact be alot better to compensate the lack of search and tutoring for Rainbow Energy, you can play 2 Poke Drawers to search for Rainbow Energy cause it states any 2 cards from your deck but that's beside the point. What I mean is you can still use Claydol and Uxie to draw into them If you're lucky so it's no big deal.

All in all I give this card a 8.5/10, the reason why I gave it this rating is because it can't be searched with Roseanne's but that still doesn't mean you shouldn't run it. By all means run it If you got the deckspace...

Rainbow is back! This is one of the better energys out there. It helps with decks that need to hurt themselves like Dusknoir. This also helps with decks running multiple types of energys.

In decks that it is useful: 8/10
In decks that is not as useful: 3.7/10

3.7 ?!?!?!?!?!?

hahahahahah!

Rainbow Energy, possibly the most welcomed card to the format (take that Charizard), returns with a boom. Now plenty of decks can use it that couldn't before (simply because they didn't exist{Gliscor, Dusknoir}).

This card gets a 10 in Unlimited, Modified and Limited.

The only energy that beats it are Scramble and Double Rainbow Energy

So you're pretty ok/happy with the side-effect of adding 1 damage counter to the intended pkmn?

This card isn't as good as it was in its hay-day. Multi just does the job for most decks these days. I think the only reason they brought this back was for SP decks, which have many different types, but Multi does the job. 7/10 in current format.

As I'm sure everyone's said already, this card is perfect for 'Noir, and it's essentially a PlusPower with Cressellia LV. X in play. Even without those two in your deck, it is still an amazing card. As far as I'm concerned, Multi Energy is dead...unless you have some reason to run both.

10/10 in Dusknoir/Cresselia Decks
9/10 in everything else.

You do have a good point with Cress. LV.X. Instant removal of the damage and giving it somebody else.

Now now, Multi still has its uses... So long as the pokemon in question that you're equipping it to isn't Metal or Dark, you can usually attach a Multi-Energy with no consequence (granted, the exception to this rule may be Bronzong G, perhaps Honchcrow G). In my personal opinion, if it weren't for the fact that Multi-Energy is canceled out if any other special energies are attached, it would obviously be the better of the two for SP Decks.

SP Decks actually have a reason to run both... <_<;;

Rainbow energy, my dear old friend, you have finally returned-and your uncommon now. I remember the days when I was overjoyed to get even 1 of you because you were a rare....if only I had a time machine 10 years ago...I could have gotten 4 copies of you soooo easy..

DARN YOU TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh wait.........10/10

Great Card... Just love it.... Better than Multi Energy

15/10
