One of the best G Pokémon IMHO. I just posted a deck list in the Help forum.

With the proper supporting cast, this can be quick damage with a lot of annoyance.

8/10

The Galactic deck's main choice of combating Machamp (who otherwise runs through you with Take Out), Toxicroak G is a very needed part of any Galactic deck. 90 HP is great for an SP Pokemon, has a x2 Weakness to :psychic: (x2 Weakness is never a good thing, especially with Dusknoir and Gengar), no Resistance, and costing :colorless:colorless to Retreat. Anticipation has to be one of the best Poke-Bodies out there, essentially giving Toxicroak G an Unown G's effect; this means he can't be hit by attacks like Take Out, suffer Status Conditions, or from attacks that place damage counters, making him incredibly useful against some of the more popular decks out there. Deep Poison may appear pricey at first, costing :psychic::colorless for 20, but you deal an extra 40 if the Defending Pokemon is poisoned. Given the ease at which Galactic decks can Poison you, it shouldn't be too hard to deal a constant 60 damage.

Modified - 8/10 (A must have for any Galactic deck)
Limited - 10/10 (Providing you can get a couple of other G Pokemon as well, you have a solid card)
Unlimited - 1/10 (Don't see this being used much)

Out of everything, I think people are thinking this card is to over rated. Any psychic deck destroys it.

All in all, 1/10. The 1 because I like the art!

This card isn't great. It "beats" machamp, but it basically loses to everything else. Low HP and double weakness to a widely popular type just isn't great.

Speaking of great, the art in this new set is GREAT! This card gets a B for art from me. A D for playability

6/10

Only a counter to Machamp? Loses to everything else? 1/10? LOLOLOL! FOOLS! INFIDELS! This card is my new baby. If you guys don't think a deck involving this thing has any potential, I greatly question your creativity and deckbuilding skills.

Potentially deal turn 1 or 2 for 70 damages. Good partner with Mightyena. You can add Palkia G lv X to remove heavily damage pokemon. Good counter to AMU, Gengar...:thumb:

I'm running a deck with Machamp and Giratina. That's not only creative, it's insane enough to work.

I somewhat respect this card in that match up, but any psychic that can do 40-50 can donk it. (40 with Buck's or Plus.)

Counter to AMU ?
Amu makes you pay more nrgs to even attack and has azelf x while it can one shot you all day long :/

~~~
cards not that great, build in Unown G is awesome and it might work as a secondary line in G decks, but Toxi/Tank is to onesided and easily countered.
let's be honest. the card BY ITSELF isn't promising. 90hp basic, 20 for 2 with a possibility of 60, 2 retreat, a 2x psychic weakness, and a body that's just like Unown G.
however, if you are just playing this card alone, there's something wrong with you...
Combo'd with Skuntank, you get an always 60 for 2, or 1 with Energy Gain, because it's SP you can use cards like Power Spray, it's basic so can be nabbed with Rosy, with snowpoint it gets 110hp, Cyrus's Conspiracy adds HUGE support, can be grabbed with Weavile G, and in the upcoming sets we will see MASSIVE SP support cards.
Tier 2 definitely, with upcoming sets we will see plenty of SP, all in all i feel this card gets a:
8.5/10-lots of combos to it, has the donk factor, but isn't unstoppable. Then again, that's been the definition of this year's Metagame so yeah.
Today 9/10.
Next set: Garbage (gonna be an sp environment where Skunktank gets worthless). It will spend is time in the garbage bin along with Dialga g Lv-x.
More interesting is that it doesn't need Unown G to prevent effects, so it can always be packing Energy Gain.
With Skuntank and a stadium courtesy of Honchkrow G, 60 for P + poison damage is a good deal.
Use it with Lake Boundary (for now) or Lucario GL (Bonds of Time), and the much vaunted AMU turns into a "who kills faster" fest. Toxicroak G wins tha fight, since its immune to damage counters and can attack for a single energy given Energy Gain (go Cyrus's Conspiracy)
Ehh.... The AMU matchup turns into "How long can I play with you before stomping you because my Azelf makes me laugh at your Psychic type."
T1 Honchkrow start, Honcho's command for NRG Gain and Stadium
T2 Retreat to Toxi play stadium use rosy for skunktank and energy. use skunktanks power and attack with Toxi: 60 for one energy. It might not always turn out like that, but you get the idea.
8.5/10
Thats alot of setup for 60 T2, and then what?
Unless you run Dialga G Lv.X to counter AMU's Azelf Lv.X's Pokebody, in which case it reverts back to who kills who faster.
Thats alot of setup for 60 T2, and then what?
Then Poison damage KO's anything with 70 HP or less. 80 or less of they don't retreat or heal poison before the end of their next turn.
It is MUCH easier than it sounds. The pokes are basics better than 50/50 that u start with at least 1. Starting with the stadium is like starting with the candy. However, Cyrus lets you get three pieces of the puzzle roseanne, NRG and Gain. Honchkrow lets u get stadium and gain. I would guess T1 25%, T2 70%, T3 90%. Some potential but 90 HP or even 110 with 2X weakness too easy to OHKO. I think it works very well against decks that can't OHKO because you can turn it and effectively remove all damage.
I tried a quick sample of 7 starts (T1 going second) - T1, T2, T2, T2, T3, T2, T2 not too shabby.
Fun deck but like other special condition decks Gliscor, Darkria etc. sadly tier 2. 7/10.
Decent card, would be a heck of alot better if anticipation stopped powers affecting him too, otherwsie the quick damage he puts out, gets him poisoned fast (and I wouldnt want to waste a poketurn on self inflicted poison).
Skunktank doesn't poison G pokemon. Toxicroak G just happens to be a G pokemon. (Mighthyena is the one that needs to be poisoned to make his energyless attacks work).
