The 2015 Arizona Pokémon State Championship is coming!!!

Location:

Arizona Cultural Academy & College Prep (Event will be in the School Gym)
7810 S 42nd Pl. (off Baseline) Phoenix, AZ 85042


IMPORTANT: DO NOT Park in the street or at the Fire Department. Parking will be in the Lot next to the Gym. We will have signs posted.


Date: Saturday, March 28th, 2015

Time: ---->Registration begins at 8:00 AM (Registration ends at 9AM). Player meeting begins at 9:30AM.

ALL AGE GROUPS:
50 minutes +3 (Best 2 out of 3 Swiss games).​

ALL Top Cut Finals will be single elimination 2 out of 3 match play (75 minute time limit).​


ALL AGE GROUPS: TOP 8 players will be playing on Sunday at Desert Sky Games in Gilbert at 10AM (Side events will start at 10:30AM See below)​

PLEASE NOTE: Seniors and Juniors TOP cuts may play out on Saturday (Time permitting) however, TOP 2 will play on Sunday at Desert Sky Games in Gilbert at 10AM.

Please keep this in mind when planning for the event. This location is 15-20 minutes East of the event.


The Main Tournament (Swiss rounds) can last 5 to 6 hours.You must be in the registration line with your decklist ready no later than 9AM or you may receive a first round loss or not be allowed to enter the event.
Don't be late!

Please arrive with your deck in the same order as your decklist.

Those players who show up with the "special" decklist completed and their deck in the same order
will be entered into a SPECIAL RAFFLE SPECIAL for Sealed booster box of Primal Clash! Please email me for the special decklist.

ONLY Preregistered players will receive 1 Arizona State Championships Dice (while supplies last).

Yes, the ONLY way to get the special dice is to Preregister and you will also have a separate Fast Pass Preregistration line!

REMEMBER: when you preregister you MUST return and PRINT out your barcoded Form...IT’S THE ONLY way I will see you are registered. If you DO NOT print out your form, I cannot reserve your dice. If you have any problems with this please email me!!! Do not wait to preregister!!!

As soon as we have 8 players we will start and run these events all afternoon! If possible we will separate the age groups.
• You must have your own legal 60-card legal deck.
• 30 +3 minute rounds- Single Elimination

Prizes per Tournament: (maximum of Ten 8 player tournaments) This gives you 10 chances to win a playmat. These playmats are supplied by Pokémon (Mega Gardevoir playmats ). These are NOT the Arizona States playmats.

2nd place – 2 packs Primal Clash

• Play 3 rounds. Single games. 20 minutes per round and no + 3. No top cut.

Time: Registration begins at 4pm (Registration ends at 4:45pm).

Players must follow rules. Players must have 4-6 Pokémon in their Battle Box ready to play. Each player must submit a team sheet (see Team Sheet..
You may only use your Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire games! (Charge your DS prior to the event)

IMPORTANT VG Players! This will be a 4 vs 4 DOUBLE battle tournament!

Cost: $10.00 Cash or $10.25 Credit Card Entry Fee

PRIZES:
For each Age Division:
1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th place: Cash prizes to be determined by Attendance. The more players we have, the bigger the CASH PRIZES will be!!

Standard Format Team Rules:

In Double Battles, each player selects four Pokémon from his or her party of six to battle with. At the start of the battle, players send out the first two Pokémon in their party, making a total of four Pokémon on the battlefield. Game play continues until a player makes all four of his or her opponent’s Pokémon faint.

SUNDAY League Challenge @ Desert Sky Games Gilbert

You can watch the Top cuts from the Arizona State Championships and register to play in the League Challenge!
**If you registered and played in the Arizona State Championships on Saturday then this League Challenge is FREE for you. All age divisions! All others, the entry fee is $5.00 cash or $5.25 Credit Card.

Registration starts: Noon Registration Ends: 12:45pm - time subject to change

• You must have your own legal 60-card Standard deck.
• The number of Swiss Rounds will be determined by the number of players.
• 30 minutes round + 3. No top cut.
• Decklists will be required.

Lunch Break update: The school will have the cafeteria open during our event. Historically, the food here has been awesome and very reasonably priced. Please feel free to bring an lunch, if you prefer. We will not be scheduling a lunch break. If you have a medical condition please see me and we will make arrangements for you.
