Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

All National Championships Question #3 (Can I actually get an answer this time?)

Godzilla!

New Member
Like I said in my first thread asking this, I am going on a long trip out of the US but havn't decided where I am going to go yet. I get good pay and saved lots of money for this trip so I can basically go anywhere and that is why I am asking this. I don't want some lame answer to check the op website or to contact the appropriate national POP contact since I don't live there and because of that fact obviously have no idea how I would even be able to contact them. I was thinking about going to Japan and maybe playing in there Nationals but I heard that there National championships took place at Worlds last year in Florida so does that mean that the Japanese Nationals will be at Worlds in California this year? If that's the case then I would probably just go on a trip accross Europe but again I have no idea how many Nationals they have over there and if any of them are open to all players. I don't spend money on this game so people working with it can give me the run around instead of just asking what I think is a fairly simple question since there is most definately a website where you can find out about all National championships (I just can't understand why the op website doens't have the Nationals info for all Nationals championships). Can someone actually give me some real help this time?

P.S. If someone who's viewing this knows the answer but can't post on this page please private message me what you know, thanks a lot.

It is for card rulings or game procedure rulings. It is not for tournament or penalty rulings or general questions about how Pokemon USA works.

Since this question doesn't match either of the purposes for the ATM forum, and two polite referrals to the POP site didn't help you, let's move it to where it can be discussed.

Hi,

Go to the OP site, click on National Championships and then International Nationals, and there you go. Note that there is also a post in the INT forum here which discusses ALL National Championships. It doesn't have all listed yet, but many are listed.

Also, many Nationals in Europe are already finished- or closed to local residents.

You just want to go to there nationals so they'll say who are you? Then you will respond I am Godzilla! Then people will scream and call in the military which will then look for this supposed Godzilla, but they will not find a Godzilla. In a way you still caused chaos. I know it and you know it XD Back on the main topic though I would see it if our nationals are open to anyone then I don't see why anyone elses shouldn't be open to us. I looked on the op and didn't see anything. Meh maybe someone from Japan will see this and help you out. Good luck on your search!

Ya I checked that section of the Website and a lot of the info on those tournaments is listed in there local language so again I ask how would I go about finding out which Nationals are open to anyone? Oh, and I'm not going to email the op website since lately it seems it takes a long time to get any responces from them (if you get one at all).

to my knowledge, the french nationals are open to all. no invite necessary, just turn up. the UK nationals are only open to UK residents with invites, so you can't go there.

hope that helps.

dutch nationals, July 3rd, no invite needed. in city of utrecht, around 1 hour from amsterdam (by rail/car)

That did help since now I know that the UK Nationals is out of the question (scratch 1 option), it seems like the only people that can really help are people out of the U.S. Although basically any of the POP members here should know all this stuff (waits for one of them to find this thread).

Thank you afirule, so far 1 yes, 1 no, and 1 maybe

Sidenote: Does anyone know anything about Japanese Nationals, I didn't even see anything about it on the OP website.

I heard that too but I don't know. I would go to US Nationals but it's in Ohio which definately isn't a great vacation place where as I've never been anywhere in Europe so that would obviously be fun just because of that fact and if Japanese Nationals is in Japan then I could finally go to Poke Park and Disney Japan

Too bad the one it Italy is closed but oh well at least the one in Austria isn't until the 25th since that actually gives me some time to plan. Thanks NoPoke.

I heard someone was thinking about going to the nats in Switzerland, but I have no date. All the nats in Scandinavia are over by now.
