OK so last night I posted a list of a Blastoise/Keldeo/Kyurem deck idea i had and after some advice and tweaking I felt like the deck worked ok but when i saw how much it would costs to fill in the blanks of the deck to build it, i had to go with a cheaper idea. Looking through my collection I found waht i think will be an interesting and fun combo to use at the upcoming Battle Roads in my area.
Pokemon: 18 total
Ampharos 3-1-3
Eevee x 4
Plasma Leafeon x 3
Plasma Umbreon x 2
Terrakion x 2 (not quite sure which terrakion yet to go with though)
Supporters: 12 total
Juniper x 3
Colress x 3
Bianca x 2
Skyla x 2
Hugh x 2
Trainers: 19 total
Rare Candy x 3
Catcher x 4
Ultra Ball x 2
Level Ball x 1
Switch x 4
Energy Retrieval x 2
Computer Search x 1

Ok so the main strategy behind the deck idea here is to use the opponents energy against them one way or another. The main goal is to get ampharos out in the active spot as fast as possible, ideally by turn 2 or 3. Energy is the key for any pokemon to attack so with ampharos's ability, it'll punish teh opponent for attaching engery in the first place and wittle away at their pokemon as they set up.
Once they have played most or all of their energies, assuming they get that far, thats where Plasma Leafeon comes in with its amazing one engery cost attack and using all the opponents engery count against them for some heavy damage which after taking damage from ampharos's ability, even if they only have a few engery out, it should still be enough to finish the job with leafeon.
Umbreon is purely a support in the deck to add surviveabilty to itself and leafeon and if i use the plasma badge on ampharos, it'll add more surviveability to him as well, bumping his hp to levels nearly equal to that of an EX pokemon.
Terrakion is there to handle any and all darkrais, as well as score a revenge KO should one of my main fighters go down. I thought about using mewtwo EX instad but then darkrais would run rampant on me. Since darkrai is popular from what i've seen, i feel terrakion provides some peace of mind. My main fighters also are able to deal with any keldo/blastoise decks as well, really smacking them in their weakness, again from what i've seen is a popular deck type to play.
Now what i realy feel i need tweaks on are the items and possibly the supporters. and maybe the pokemon. i'm debating if i really need the flaafy in the deck or not, but i dont' want to rely totally on rare cadies.. but my main goal witht he supports and items is to have at least one draw and/or search card in my hand to use each turn to keep my consistency going and keep the flow strong.
I have a good feeling that Leafeon and Ampharos will have some good synergy together especially with terrakion as backup. So any and all opinions/advice are appreciated. I am new to deck building so i wanted to see if others thought this deck might be viable for BR useage. ^^
