Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Amu

If you meant something different, you just chose your words poorly. It's not that I'm stupid.

I know AMU isn't just a 200 damage a turn deck. But 200 damage is one of the best things about the deck.

chose my words poorly, saying he managed to get mesprit out once and god blast once. i dont think thats poor tbh. id say your interpritation was quite flawed, considering you have based me being 'bamboosled' on him ONLY having mesprit out.

You said that he "only got out Mesprit Lv.X" : "and God Blasted once" That sounds like he only has Mesprit Lv.X in play. *shrugs*

Anyway, this argument is fruitless, and still, it was pretty mean for you to label both of us idiots.

... Simma Down !!! ....

POINT = ANYONE can build a deck list w/o understanding HOW to play that list (mechanics).

The list can only get you SO FAR
At some point, people have to come to terms w/ the fact that they may NOT be a strong player and NO LIST can guarantee them a win.

There are guys in our league that can say "can I borrow your deck," thumb through the cards, play YOUR deck and WIN.

The more you understand the individaul cards and how each one can be used, the more you can PREDICT your opponents play and, then, start trying to avoid the KOs.

Having said that...

EVERYBODY JUST PLAY GROUDON.

NOBODY TAKE AN AMU DECK TO ANY TOURNAMENT.
(and trade your sprtes to me... )

i dont reallt know where this is going tbh ... are you just talking about play in general. cause either way i do completely agree, playabillity is what seperates the men from the boys in this game.

but how well this deck runs i think will depend on what fairies you use and how many.

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

Thank you. I feel special knowing that you think enough of me to apologize.

Anyway, you're right. AMU is more so about outspeeding opposition and disruption than 200 damage a turn. But the 200 a turn is nice.

It makes me sad that people would rather use Energy Pickup over Energy Switch to power God Blast. :(

To clunky. Palkia lv.x is great and all, but Leafeon is so much better I wouldn't use it.

O.O Leafeon? Lv.X?

The thought of setting up 3 Basic Lv.X and a Stage 1 Lv.X makes me want to puke.

Palkia Lv.X seems a lot easier to pull off. Do you just use Leafeon to power God Blast?

too clunky, yet you mention leafeon? what?

Other then drag out a certain pokemon (this only works if he is active, because if he is on the bench they will just pull him out and that isnt so good), he really doesnt do much for the deck.

Leafeon while being a lv.x has MANY more uses. First off the normal Leafeon is a GREAT attacker, and nice tech agasint a few certain decks (looks at Kingdra and Groudonk). The Lv.x is also a nice attacker, and its power works wonders in this deck. The point of him isn't to get him out asap, but more or less when your able to later in the game. Once you can do that the ability to just SB every turn is just amazing. Leafeon Lv.x also lets you stick in some other tech cards, such as strong basic, or an Eveelution.

Palkia is the only LvX I would ever tech into UMA. Leafeon, once active, will stay active for attacking. Why attack with Leafeon when you could just one shot something with Mesprit? Fear of getting KOed? So what? Preimer Ball and you're back on track. The only reason why I would use Palkia, is because you have a good opportunity to Level it up, seeing as you level up, then it is forced to switch back to your bench, and you get to KO anything you want.

Methinks Leafeon/Lv. X is great vs. Kingdra and Mewtwo Lv. X
Maybe against Kingdra, but Mewtwo Lv.X will still punish Leafeon/Lv.X. More HP, faster. Basic.

If AMU goes against Mewtwo Lv.X, even if they tech against it, they just have to hope for the best. "Tough Matchup" doesn't begin to describe it.

Faster? LOL?

OK, you KO one of my poke's. Now you have 0 energy attached to Mewtwo X. GL attacking the turn after.

thoery fights never work

play it out

palkia is by no means clunky, is jumps straight to the bench as soon as it get into play and you thrown anyting out to OHKO. leafon is alot of hassle to discard 2 cards a turn. nah, i dont see it. it also has two retreat, how much energy are yuo planning on using in this miracle AMU/leafeon deck?

You don't HAVE to keep discarding. Its just nice to be able to do. As for retreat, I usually just save a warp point for it.

ye of course, mesprit has nothing written on him saying (if you have 2 energy on this pokemon, he must use god blast). but either way, leafeon jst isnt practicle. 3 slots in a deck... nah

Leafeon is good vs. Kingra due to the damage reduction, true, however the Mewtwo arguement is void. Mightyena is a far supirior choice for fighting off Mewtwo. Also, if you want to beat Kingdra, there are probably many S1 or S2 non-LvX counters that could become a great help.
