Annual Midnite Mutant Booster Draft @Nationals Sat. 7/7

That was fun. Makes you not know what to expect. 6 Energy cards on a Staraptor was funny to see - it had evolved from a Delcatty :lol:. Will do report shortly (give me an hour).
 
ill start saving now for next years. Ill bring TONS of old packs and stuff so EVERYONE can play!!!
 
This was a lot of fun! I'm really glad I managed to stay up for it. Thanks for the sweet dice as well!

We beat last years attendance, wooooo hoooooo!

54 players!

The Top 16 players got prizes and EVERYONE walked away with POKEGYM Dice (thanks to Pokepop) and an extra 2 packs of Diamond and Pearl!

We will be running a Midnite Mutant Draft at Worlds in Hawaii too....Watch the other boards for more info! See you there!!
 
Why does it have to be at Midnight?

Most people are gonna be jet lagged throughout the trip so people will want to sleep at midnight.

I'm sure Saturday Worlds Swiss won't go until 9 at night with only 64 players.......
 
Well, the MMM Draft is a Nats event, not a Worlds event.
I don't think us old fogies can go that late again.
I was the only TC member to make it through the whole thing.
Thanks to Pat and Ms Curry for helping run the thing.

Maybe next year we'll have a "Dusk Draft".

I went 5-0. Here are some of the contents of the deck that I played with.

From DP
Palkia, Seaking, Unown A, Unown D
From CG
Blastoise (water one)
From UF
Unown B (yay shuffle), Ariados, Shuckle, and Mary's Request

I also got Expedition and Gym Heroes packs, but they weren't that helpful for me.

So yeah, I ran mostly water, with some grass and psychic.

I also want to thank all of the other Ohio players for Booing me starting after round 4, and when I got announced as First Place.

But yeah, my wife really wanted to play, so she talked me into, I am already running on like no sleep, and was wanting to drop, if I lost, so I can go to bed. So Sunday was kinda rough on me, working on Staff, until I got the caffine in me!

So for all of you who played this year and those of you planning to play next year, I will be back to defend my title!

Yes you were the only one there so it wasn't so "Pokegym".
 
Thanks to everyone who helped to run this and to everyone who donated prizes. This was probably the most fun I had all weekend, and that's saying a lot!
