Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

AR Dead?

Well, if you are looking for someplace that really talks Anime, go HERE
You can't be serious. They have only 4 topics in the "Currently Airing" (half of which are Penguin Musume and Naisho no Tsubomi) forum and the last post was last month. As for the general anime discussion forum, I see Winx Club and DBZ on the front page. :\

Also, the list in their recommended anime topic looks like:
Digimon
Death Note
Suzumiya Haruhi
Goshuuso-sama Ninomiya-kun
DBZ
FMA
Naruto
Bleach

Not that most of those shows are bad, just that it's a predictable and uninteresting list.

EDIT:
Oh, here's a gem of a thread from that forum:
The --official-- Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya Thread
First Post said:
Discuss it here! List favorite characters, scenes, etc here.
Note the absolute lack of information. It gets better.
Second Post said:
sorry i dont know what Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya is
is it anime because i dont watch muuch anime please tell me what it is
it sounds good
Now, this isn't funny because he doesn't know what Haruhi or punctuation is, nor is it that funny that he hangs out in an anime forum while not watching much anime. The best part is that, even though he doesn't even know if it's an anime or not (even though he's in an anime forum), he can tell it sounds good with absolutely no details given.

I still think Mai-HiME was more interesting; though, since Mai-Otome is still continuing, I suppose it must be more popular. I wonder when the next S.ifr DVD comes out.

HiME wasn't very interesting to me the first time around, actually. I watched a few episodes of it and couldn't get interested. then I got into Otome when it aired, and got hooked, and had to go back, and then got hooked on it too.

I can't wait for th enext S.ifr. It's set to show a fair more amount of the history of the world. The whole artificial HiME system on this world, and the fact that the [DEL]Patriots[/DEL]Searrs Foundation basically won following the events of HiME, really intrigues me

First of all, Haruhi is just that good of an anime that if you heard of it without any background info, you just know. I mean, Yuki, Mikuru, Kyon, come on.

Surprised that Death Note is on the list considering all the stuff that happens in that show. Plus a couple of rather impressionable kids made their own "Death Notes" at schools. and of course the people are blaming the anime/manga for it. Also the show Naruto actually caused a kid to die recently, cause he was apparently trying to do some sort of "sand power" trick in the sandbox, and buried himself and suffocated.

Not trying to be negative, but sometimes anime is a bit of a touchy subject.

Anyways there is another show or 2 you could easily add to that list.

Such as:

Azumanga Daioh (seriously is there anything bad in that show?)

I always knew Gaara was a bad influence.

I always knew children were stupid.

What list are you talking about anyway? The one I put up? That's from that forum EeveeLover linked to and I was making fun of it.

I <3 Sergey Wong :)

Oh, I thought you were suggesting things that were OK to talk about here. Sorry about that.
Maybe I should read the posts better next time. BTW there are a lot of other anime boards out there, and
some of them are even deader than this one. Heck at least here you get a response to a post once in a while.

Azumanga should be pretty safe to talk about. I think the only problem I'd have with that show is that one male teacher who obsesses a little too much.

...Winx Club...

Not even animé. IIRC it's like... Italian or something.

Plus a couple of rather impressionable kids made their own "Death Notes" at schools.

Meanwhile, us twentysomethings have to get by with the merchandized replica Death Notes they market for absurd prices. Which kinda leads me to...

Just because a few kids are total idiots doesn't make a subject touchy.

I always knew children were stupid.

When it comes to soccer moms who somehow take offense at everything, you could find something "wrong" with all kinds of stuff, from Yukari's drinking to Kaorin's crush to (if you're... insert-word-here enough) the fact that the girls play sports.

That statement surprises me, since most people who play tcgs or video games based on animes or come along with there own anime (Pokemon) are also huge anime fans.

The problem is that the Pokémon animé... well, let's say it intakes air. Very, very fast. Beyond that, the TCG crowd and the animé crowd in general really aren't all that mutually inclusive.

If there were more pokemon players that were anime fans, we'd have more posts here =\

If we had some tea, we could have tea and biscuits if we had biscuits.

You'd be surprised how much pushing I've needed to get anyone who plays pokemon to come to an anime convention. It's nearly impossible.

True, very true. Mostly junior players are the only tcg players that also keep up with the anime and game series.

Most of the people who'd go to an animé convention are people I wouldn't want to hang around with anyway.

No need for euphemisms. You can just say "little kids".

I have zero interest in anime. I started playing the TCG for the strategy, not the artwork or the tv show.

1) This is just as mature as the "zomg Naruto is so 1337" crowd.
2) Why are you in this thread if you don't like animé? I don't go into Pokémon TCG threads and spam junk like, "I have zero interest in the TCG."
3) As a serious question since I quit some time ago (I come here for my eight-year member inertia; I've been a 'Gym member three years longer than this 'Gym incarnation has existed): They seriously managed to get strategy into Pokémon?

EDIT: Minor typo. Nothing fancy. Just noting because I have a pathological need to log my edits or something.
