Congratulations, Jerry. You are a true champion -- a pleasure to battle you and something learned whether I win, or as much more likely, lose! G/L at Worlds & how 'bout a tourney report from AZ?

Didn't figure it would matter to much seeing's how were from that place that doesn't even change time like everyone else, and whatever other comments you felt like throwing are way!!!

Right on Jerry...that's an extra ROOM now for TEAM LA!!! ;) if you know what I mean!!! I tried making it a 3rd ROOM, but could not get going during my third match...oh well!!! I've got 3 more chances, and the last minute GRINDER if need be...Once again, congrats to you!!!

3 more. Lessee, WCSC, and... er... Going to the South and East, too? Yikes!

And where is your tourney report?

all the matches were 2 vs 2 and started 1 hour early because us folks in Az don't know how to tell time

Chill out guys, I'm not gonna write a Full tourney report. Tourney reports are usually one sided and do not express the losing opponents thoughts and game play accurately. (Basically i dont want to make an a** of myself and make myself look like a jerk. I'm all about playing for fun)

I guess I'll just give a mini version of a deck report.

I was impressed by one player that i played during the regular rounds and then in the top 4. Forgot his name, nice guy though. (psst...what was his name again?).

He was playing with both versions of Omastar, Kabutops EX, Aerodactle EX, and some other weird stuff. Kept me on my toes and made me really think about my moves carefully. I won the first game by taking a huge risk and psyshadowing my own wobboffet till it died, I had no way of retreating it and then i was hoping that i got the card i needed with energy draw that same turn, because the game would have turn on me if i didn't get it. I ended up getting it and won the the first game.

Since the first game lasted so long, the second game was sudden death. I got an average start and he only placed one pokemon which he quickly evolved to Omastar (pull down). So again it was hard to defend against it because he could just pull down anything with damage and was quickly doing 50 damage, then 70. I dont remember exactly how it went but i think i let wobby take 70 damage hit, then switch and rare candy a gard ex for the win.

In the Finals against Wes Spurlock, we both agreed to play a One match game. This was kinda risky for both of us but i think we both felt confident that we could overcome any potential bad hands.

Turns out we both had trouble some starts, he had a better start, but I started with a wobbuffet and was kinda safe the first few turns. I had a like 3 enery and a reversal in my starting hand so i kept the reversal hidden and attached to wobby for 3 turns. I think i attacked a dunsparce first, which gave me a ralts as a prize. Placed it down, then next turn i used the reversal to knock out a torchic with one energy on it. This really seamed to slow him down, since he was really having a lot of trouble drawing energy to feed his delcatty.

He eventually recovered about two turns before me but i had evolved my ralt to a gardivoir and it was helping me get energy out of the deck to attack. He warped and stuff to get my wobby out of the way so then i started attacking with two different skittys with double edge. My delcattys were no where in sight. I somehow killed his one blaziken and that slowed him down so more.

The next time he put down a torchic he brought out a Blaz EX, but he had no regular blaz to feed it. I attacked him with my gard for weakness for a total of 80. So he had to run away. I'm not sure if he forgot that he would only have one more torchic in his deck or he forgot about the weakness, but i think this move costed him the game.

A couple of turns later i recovered with a delcatty and drew another reversal. Reversed for the beatup blazken EX and killed it with weakness. Then i just kinda took over from there.

This was an intersting match to say the least. We both struggled with non typical starts and had to work our way to try and win. I cant really say what his hand looked like but i felt like i was playing with only 3 cards in my hand throughout most of the game.

I was well aware of this and fully able to pull something else out

So why did you play it and put it as active? Like i mentioned to you, I couldn't really read what you would do next but i figured it was because you seemed to be struggling like me. I know you couldn't really predict what i would do because i didn't know either, I just played whatever i was top decking and getting from prizes thoughout most of the match.
