I believe the attendance in SD was something around 59, with 33 of those being 15+. 9 or 10 in -10, and the rest 11-14. Correct me if I'm wrong, Juan or Chris or Kim?

    We had 26 at Rockville,Md(15+:14,11-14:7,10-:5).

There were alot of people missing that usually come to our SuperBattlezones at Arundel so the #`s were unusually low for what I usually see.We would have had record #`s if they would have shown.

At Niles (Illinois), we had around 12 ppl in 15+, 10 or so in 11-14, and only 2 for 10 and under. From what I overheard, I think they had the 2 kids just battle to see who was first place and who was second. Other than that, it was a pretty fun tournament. I hope Nintendo does this again with EX3. Oh, did I mention that I was 3rd in the 15+ division?

I'd also like to say hi to bullados. *speaks in dark voice* So, we finally meet.

San Diego had 59 total players and 1 player just showing up for GBA play (so 60 unique players). The breakdown was 33 in 15+, 16 in 11-14, and 10 in ten and under. Everyone had a great time, the event ran smoothly and well, judging was excellent as always, cudos to everyone who helped out--it really makes a difference!

    Thanks everyone.

We had 55 players in Salt Lake City. I don't remember the exact numbers (I only glanced at them momentarily), but I think there were 15 10 and under, and 29 15+ (leaving the others in the middle).

Gym Leader Blaine will be able to tell you more specific numbers.

And no, we would not have had the two "battle it out" even if we did have only 2 for the 10-.

Butler, PA. very sparce attendance, which didn't surprise me. Its been tough to find a functioning league in Pittsburgh for the past year or so. The last Wizards event in Pittsburgh about two years ago was sparcely attended, but not this few. Butler is a depressed industrial town about 30 miles north of Pittsburgh. Very convenient for us since we live more than halfway to Butler from Pittsburgh. The tournement organizer told me the hotel they had the prerelease tourney was frequently used by them for Magic tourneys.

    10 total participants

3-ten and under, including my son and his friend we brought with us.
    2-eleven to fourteen
5-fifteen and over, four of which were adults and one teenager who we know from our old league.

We played four Swiss rounds across age groups and then the prizes were awarded within age groups. My son took first in the under ten group and his friend took second.

Detroit - 23 (10- 4, 11-14 10, 15+ 9 (these numbers could be off, Matt, Sean, or Drew - back me up here)
    Pittsburgh - 12 (10- 3, 11-14 2, 15+ 7)

Blondie took 3d and 1st respectively. 1 more to go though, which should be the largest of the 3.

Thanks to everyone who came out to support us so far. Rantage to follow in another post.

Yes, GLB would know ;) . Anaconda was correct we had 55 players in Salt Lake City and it was great. Here is the correct break up of our turn out.

    10 and Under = 11
    11 - 14 =15
    15 & Up = 29
    Total = 55

After the main event we had 15 players that played in the Gameboy Side event. Thanks for everyone that came and played. It was a lot of fun, and lookward to doing it again. :thumb:

The numbers are looking decent. I'll post the Colorado results this Sat after we run ours.

Just one question. Did anyone see people staying away due to the $20 cost? I've heard a few complaints from my kids about the cost (until I explained the amount of product and possible prizes they'd be getting).

Yep. There was another group of friends from OC in the SoCal area that decided not to participate and one of the factors was the cost. =(

That would have been another 5 or so bodies @ SD PreRelease.

 22 folks at Sturgis MI

It was pretty evenly split, a nice balance.
Players from Indiana, Battle Creek and Grand Rapids came the distance.

Farbsman put together a very professional event.
More on that in a report to be posted soon. :thumb:

Thanks Rich, yes there were 22 players. There were:

6 in the 10 and under
    7 in the 11-14
9 in the 15 and up

since there were a little less in the younger age groups, 9th place in the 15 and up was also given 4 packs.

We also had 10 players play in the Gameboy side event after the pre-release was over.

At the Prerelease I attended in Brooklyn Park (MN), there were about 35 participants there, but I do not know the numbers in each age division. I do know that the 15+ had the largest turnout because it was announced before we started building decks.

so far I think the numbers look really great when you compair them to the R&S Challenge tournament. I had a lot of players and parents after the tournament wanting to know when the next one was, so it looks like Pokemon it making a come back.
