Battling Forum - Anyone Interested

let me get in this where i live the only tournament is 30 minutes away and my parents wont drive me this sounds like an awesome forum!!!!!

Well, Moderators. The next move is yours. If you wanna tell us all an answer, post it on here or the Battle forum please. If not, send me a PM and I'll tell them.
 
Thanks for the sample battle (see http://pokegym.net/showthread.php?t=3369 for details). It gives us some ideas to start discussing possible options.

Now to be honest, we probably won't even begin discussions on this until after the holidays since some of us are going to be on vacation, busy with family stuff, etc. Also, don't take this as any kind of "guarantee" or "promise" that this will happen for certain. All I can say is that we will DISCUSS it as a possible option in the future.

I kind of expected that Chrisbo. Its all we could ask of you Compendium Moderators. I think I speak for all of us when I say that we're greatful that you would give us the opportunity to try something new like this.

No seriously, it was more successful then you realize. I had never thought of Boost Energying my Feint Attack Pokemon. I'm thinking of taking my Multi Energies out and putting Boosts in instead.

Um, let's hold off on that please. If everyone decided to battle all at once here in the RTC it would be chaos (imagines classic saloon brawl scenes :eek: ). I mean, that's the whole point of having a separate forum, so that it doesn't clutter up any of the existing forums.

If you're that "itchy", try using AIM or something like that instead. It's much more real time than something like this anyway.

probably because apprentice just plain doesn't want to work on my computer. This Toshiba Laptop and Windows ME just doesn't get it to function properly.

Some people, like myself, don't have Apprentice, and can't get it.
 
bandwith problems most likely, took me an hour to download it from the nearest site. And then theres the patch, took another 1/2 hour. And after all that, it didn't work a lick.
 
Why not have an App and AIM (one subject) league/ladder forum (unl/mod seperate) as well as the aforementioned forum battling forum (kinda catchy, dontcha think?) (unl/mod seperate)? That way, all people are taken into account, and not just some of them. I do realize that this is trying on the Mods time, and I genuinely appreciate that time that TC has given to us. However, I believe that the purpose of this forum is to get Pokemon TCGers together talking about Pokemon TCG, amongst other things. Battling just seems to be a logical extension of that subject.
 
I think Bullados is suggesting a batltle forum for AIM, Apprentice and pokegym battling (what CTA and PM did.)
That would take care of everyone.
 
good point, but with just Pokegym, that would open up a more wide range of people to battle with. So we're not confined by what we have on the computer.
 
Why don't you guys just LEARN apprentice instead of not using it? It takes only a few tries and it's pretty easy to use. It's much easier to have a game in 25 minutes than 25 days. =P

The thing is that many of us have computers that simply will not use apprentice. This forum is intendid for people who cannot access apprentice because of their computors. People can't really learn it if their machine won't process it.
