Shiny Pokémon are extremely rare in the video games, but you can get one guaranteed - it will evolve into Shiny Metang (lv10), then Metagross (lv45) and can Megaevolve into Shiny MegaMetagross. It has a very powerful move set for in game and can help you get those badges, beat the elite 4 and "Catch 'em all!" with its special moves.

Not only can you get a Shiny Beldum from Mystery Gift before January 14, but:

• It comes with Metagrossite Megastone
• It's a big help when beating the game!
• It has Hold Back, which like false swipe always leaves 1HP (great for completing your Pokédex).

How to receive Shiny Beldum:

1. Set up your Internet connection in System Settings on your 2/3DS
2. Receive the Pokedex from Professor Birch
3. At the home screen of ORAS
   1. select Mystery Gift
   2. select Internet
   3. follow prompts and enter the game
4. Go to a Pokemon Center
   1. Make space in your party, if full
   2. Talk to the delivery girl (blue dress) at any Pokemon Center

Great to have this PSA, especially given how the Beldum line (and its shiny forms) remain one of my favorite evolution lines. That being said...

Beldum evolves into Metang at level 20, not 10.
