Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Birth By Sleep Full Video

CoM is fully real-time. Unless you pause it or something. Then it's paused.

Oh. I had just heard it used card game, and I put two and two together, card game+GBA=turn based combat.

Which is why the internet was invented. I did some research online and found out about the pieces fo teh story I missed.

You completely misunderstand. That trailer is a trailer for a spin-off game.

Twice as lame. They left us with a cliffhanger in KHII. Now we have no clue what's going to happen in KHIII. The only thing that gives me any hope is that due to the apparent nature of this next game, there's a chance that it will be MMO (hooray for the PS3 having the capacity to play MMO)

so, if they create a spinoff game, the kings letter remains a forever mystery
somehow, i dont see that as happening

Card combos are put together in real time, or you just spam regular cards to attack. It's just regular KH combat, but with cards used up each time you do something.

... You really are clueless. There will be no "KH3". Nomura's said as much himself. It's only been said a few times in this thread, as well.

I hope you realize the Xbox 360 and Wii are both capable of playing MMOs as well. MMOs are something even the PS2 has done.

Ah, I see.

And now I'm really depressed, and even more upset with them. That's just not fair, never fair, leaving it on a cliffhanger. Nothing should ever be left on a cliffhanger and not have a sequel, unless it's a really satisfying cliffhanger, like the one Angel ended with. But this was a Farscape cliffhanger series end. We got a movie then, and we'd better get a third game in the original series that cleans that up.

I meant because KH is only Sony, and that means it's probably going to be exclusively for PS3. True, they may expand into Xbox 360 as well as PS3, and maybe even the Wii, though I doubt the latter. That and the fact that my system happens to be PS3, and therefore I could care less about Wii or 360. No tongue lashings, please.

the names of the three keyblade wierlders are terra, aqua, and ven
aqua is the blue haired girl, ven is the one who gets frozen solid, and terra is the one who's eyes turn yellow at the end

ven is only a nickname for the character
his name is apparantly much longer

the color shift in terra's eyes lead people to believe that he is connected to xenahort/ansem, due to the "heartless like" color

thats all i have for now

Note that the first secret ending refers to the "Memory of Xehanort." Note also that you apparently get to fight Ven in KH2:FM+. They're connected to Xehanort in some way, as well. The added scenes in FM+ go over this in the standard Nomura level of detail (i.e. not much).

Nothing should ever be left on a cliffhanger and not have a sequel

Nomura never said he's not tying up the KH2 ending. He just said he's not focusing the next game on Sora/Riku/Kairi.

Sony also does Final Fantasy XI, which is on all of the PC, PS2, and Xbox 360. They're looking to have their next MMO on all three systems and probably the PC as well.

Just saying. I wouldn't discount a KH game for the DS simply because Final Fantasy (something KH takes influence from) is "only Sony," especially given that one game was already on the GBA.

I never said that FF was only Sony, I'm saying that both of the main KH games have been on PS2 (obviously I don't count Chin of Memories in this, I don't count games that make a leap from a major console onto GBA), and now we have the PS3, which is a lot better. I don't care about FF, FF could go straight to that fiery pit, the name of which we are not allowed to say due to the family friendly nature of this site (and no, I will not let that go, any comments on that fact in this thread will be ignored) for all I care. True, it does provide a source of character bases, but nevertheless I don't really care.

The KHIII thing, I simply meant that I hate having to live with that kind of suspense. Even now, after just rewatching Pirates of the Carribean 2, there's nothing I want to do more than see the third one, since it ended on a cliffhanger, cause I obsess about the endings to cliffhangers, and I know a large number of people who do exactly the same thing. My point is it's not right to leave anyone on a cliffhanger and then put something else in front of it on your priority list. If Square were putting the focus back almost entirely on FF, that would be fine, FF is a huge winner that's made them billions of dollars most likely, but instead, they've just put a spin-off game ahead of it, when it would make so much more sense to focus on completing the original and not leaving everyone in suspense for so long.

You don't count a game that's so integral to the plotline that it's almost impossible to follow KH2 without a basic understanding of the events of CoM?

What priority? Nomura's putting most of his current efforts into the heinous-looking FFXIII. He basically threw KH2:FM+ at the Japanese (since, you know, Americans "wouldn't be interested" in it, which is bull hockey) and went back to FF. If we're lucky, the next KH game is what he'll be putting his efforts into after that, but I'm not holding my breath.

The only thing that comes to mind at the moment that CoM played a huge part in that can't be understood without knowing that part of the game is Sora's year-long sleep, and that I found out about through word of mouth.

Nomura now sucks. He honestly hasn't figured out that anything Japanese and technology-oriented, Americans want? Godzilla and Pokemon Nomura, Godzilla and Pokemon!

His year-long sleep... the role of the Organization XIII in the plot... the setup for the Nobodies... the hints at the distinction between Ansem and Xehanort's heartless... the explanation as to why the Organization XIII is fragmented and infighting... the reveal that Lexaeus loves puzzles...

You really do miss a lot. Plot summaries can only go so far.

The prevailing mindset has nothing to do with Nomura. It has everything to do with Square's marketing team thinking that Americans don't want what's just a "special edition remake". Ignoring that it has a 3D version of CoM and enough new elements to really make it an entirely new game...

If the Sirius Cybernetics marketing division is "a bunch of mindless jerks who'll be the first against the wall when the revolution comes", then it's only because the marketing division of Square ran away and hid (and for those of you who don't know, that was a reference to the Hitchhikers Trilogy).

We know the main characters names are Terra, Aqua, and Ven, right? Well, I don't know about Ven, but Terra must be related to Riku, as Terra means land, and so does Riku in japanese, right? Same goes for Aqua and Kairi. idk about Ven though.

I think I already went on record as saying that the notion of there being some kind of "zomg definitive link" between the two groups is plain ridiculous. I will admit that Nomura's playing up the "sky/land/sea" theme twice over, but then again for all you know that's nothing more than the KH version of a Cid in every game.

acctually, in one of my gameinformers it talks about how square enix is planing on putting its new games like kingdom hearts sequals/spin-offs and other final fantasys on the other systems like wii and 360.

...please tell me that I'm misinterpreting that and you meant that they will also be putting it on Xbox360 and Wii as well as PS3.

The development team for FFXI already made it public that they intend to put their next MMO onto as many systems as they can. Their current problem is getting the okay from Nintendo about putting it on the Wii (something the Wii could handle, so it's a licensing issue mainly).

I don't see why KH has to be so different.

I'm fine with it being on multiple systems, but you seem to keep forgetting, I don't keep up with FF news. In fact, I don't even keep up with Square for that matter. The only franchise they have that interests me is KH, and much as I love KH, it's just not really worth checking Square's latest. I hadn't heard that they were going to expand to as many systems as they could for MMOs, so I figured that though there was a good chance they would expand onto other systems, there where better chances against it.

You know, if they REALLY want to make money, they could try to reprint Final Fantasy VII with revamped graphics, THEN put it on Wii, PS3, and Xbox360.
