Bonded Pokémon

    I had an idea - what if two Pokémon were connected somehow, drawing advantages from each other but also depending on each other? I ended up coming up with this concept. I've got a good bunch to post, so I'll post a few each week. They'll be posted with the basic Pokémon in pokédex order, with evolutions following them directly.

    First, the basic rules about this interaction:

    Bonded Rule: You may have exactly 0 or exactly 2 Bonded Pokémon in play (you may play 2 Bonded pokémon at once). If one of your Bonded Pokémon is removed from play, your other Bonded Pokémon is Knocked Out. If one comes into play alone, it is discarded immediately.

    (Note: You can evolve a Bonded Pokémon into another Bonded Pokémon without any ill effects.)

    And now, some pokémon:

    If there are any Special Energy attached to the Defending Pokémon, discard one of them. If not, discard an Energy attached to the Defending Pokémon.

    Basic Pokémon

    Search your deck for an Item card and put it into your hand. Shuffle your deck afterward.

    Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokémon is now Burned.

    Ninetales 90 HP :fire:
    Stage 1 - Evolves from Vulpix
    Magic Bond

    Ability: Mystic Bond
    Once during your turn, you may move an Energy card from one of your Bonded Pokémon to the other.

    :fire::fire: Mystic Flame - 80+
    Discard as many Fire Energy from this Pokémon as you like. This attack does 30 more damage for each Energy you discarded.

    :fire::colorless::colorless: Flame Cover - 60
    Switch this Pokémon with one of your Benched Bonded Pokémon.

    Does 50 damage to one of your opponent's Pokémon. If you choose to attack your opponent's Active Pokémon, this attack does 50 more damage.

    All Energy costs in your Bonded Pokémon's attacks can be paid with :water: Energy. (You can still pay them with their original type)

    For each :water: Energy in play, heal 20 damage from the Pokémon that Energy is attached to.

    :water::water::colorless: Water Spout - 140-
    Does 10 less damage for each damage counter on this Pokémon.

    During your opponent's next turn, when the Defending Pokémon goes to the Bench, do 30 damage to your opponent's new Active Pokémon.

    Unfortunately, I may not be able to post any more of these for a while. The file's on a computer I need to avoid booting for now, since it's gone shoddy and I need to minimise the risk of permanently losing data.

    I'll revive the thread when I can access them again.
