Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Bugs and Errors

The issue seems resolved.

Technical details:
PokeGym is its own caching name server. DNSSEC verification somehow got activated. We don't use DNSSEC. Nor Dalek Sec. Anyway, turning off that option got DNS working again. Of course, DNS is needed to find out where an email addressed to @gmail.com gets delivered.

FYI, got a test email: "Just testing things on our end.

Please reply if you get this.

Thanks."

I sent back a reply, but email bounced from [email protected] though.

Thanks!

Reply Screen Glitched?

Hey everyone, I actually have been noticing that my reply screens are so messed up. Does this happen with everyone or is it just me?

You should do a print screen shot, so people know what you mean and possibly help you fix the problem.

What happens with me is the whole advanced reply screen is black until I start typing, and the quick reply screen varies into something like to you would see on a TV. Sometimes, even lines appear when I post. I'm assuming it may be my computer, but I don't wanna say for certain.

The way of doing a Screenshot is this: Ctrl + PrtSc (its a button top row of keyboard).
Then paste that picture into any picture program, MSPaint is best option.
And then use... not sure what site would be safe to use on site.

here is the information on the message I have had pop up many times, and I do not know if this is of any use or an issue.

from Norton and AVG:

Message pop up warning:

Unknown user group, files not found.
There is not enough information to identify this for recommending.
This file release is not known.

Unknown developer.
Unknown version.
Not able to identify this site's last time of use.
Unknown age.

Unless I am blind, I can not move this over to bugs and errors.

Any ETA on Tapatalk plugin restoration? I realize it's probably not high on the priority list, just wondering.

Edit: Maybe my Internet was bad or it wasn't there, but it functions now. Thanks!

Searching the forums seems to be somewhat bugged at the moment.

Pick a fairly common keyword like "single". You'll get plenty of results since the forum refresh. Plenty of results from 2004 and prior. But anything in between those two is spotty, if it returns anything at all from the period. And that's a pretty big period to leave out.

I'm thinking a search index table got corrupted during the refresh.

We've had several runs at rebuilding the index, Stephen and we're just going to have to replace the search engine. It runs for days, finishes and isn't significantly better - apparently mysql full text just has a hard time with this many posts on vBulletin. There are several options that other large boards use… one is a vB alternate the other third party. We'll probably go with that.

there seems to be a problem with postings becoming a "double" posting, like it takes so long for a post to actually post and when the post does "----updated----" and repeats itself-

example found here: http://pokegym.net/forums/showthread.php?180810-3DS-Pokemon-X-Y-FC-Thread&p=2490042#post2490042

see post #102 "updated" is in that post as a repeat/duplicate wording with in.

I experience the "update" as well and have spotted a few other posts with the same issue.

Ummm Yeah! That seems to happen a lot. However it also happens when people send pms as well. I had someone send me a couple different pms - but it looked like he sent 6! Of course it wasn't a PROBLEM per se, but it definitely is a bug.

One more thing that isn't a huge deal but a bit of a bug - I noticed that in left pane of the pages (where your avatar is) there is info about you. Some people have certain info and others don't - perhaps due to what they choose to allow others to see. Kim, in your avatar area, you have your location, your post count, your blog entries, and the amount of images you posted to the gym. When I post, it doesn't show how many images I posted (some of which were originally posted under the name pokegym instead of my user name at the time - for one reason or another - doesn't matter). However the ones that were definitely posted under my user name would be nice if I got the credit for it like other people have. If I've clicked on something in my profile to defeat that, then I would like to figure it out. Please let me know.

Garret, this is the info I see looking at the left side...

Looks like the iTrader and the Images get cut off the most recent post, but they show in posts further up in the topic...

well- for the "up-date" issue, it seems to be ok to go ahead and "leave page" but you have to wait for it to pop up and ask, and it asks 2X in a row.

I suggest waiting until the animation of the circle spinning ends, then the first pop up just click on it to leave the page, then it will stop the animation, then click to leave the page by selecting another area of the sight to go to, and then the 2nd on will pop up and then click leave page again and it works and only will post once without duplicating it.

it also let me edit the post right after it posted- I just highlighted the second one inside and it left the update but it took away the repeating part.
