The whole set is silly in the first place, therefore it doesn't matter what they're doing wrong now.

Well they could've at least come up with something interesting, like the initially-westernworld-exclusive cards that PK held...

Well pokebeach said lost world would be a yes and so does the announcement.

I dunno about PokeBeach. The announcement actually says . . .

you’ll also find exciting new Lost Zone effects to expand your gameplay choices

That probably means Lost World is getting printed, on the other hand it might be a reference to Lost Remover and/or Tangrowth . . . we don't know.

Assuming that anything is in a set before 100% official confirmation leads to tears before bedtime (see the 73 'bwaaaaaaaa I hate SP and I quit' threads when LW wasn't in Triumphant).

Whoa! I was expecting B/W as the next set....

I saw that the cards were some from the Lost Link Japanese set.

Looks like you're all getting Lost World after all!

OMG OMG I JUST SAW THAT THE SHINY POKEMON ARE CONFIRMED!! I COLLECT SHINY POKEMON WOW I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!:eek::biggrin:

so what are the chances of having lost world in this set??
50%±50% seems about correct from what I know. (The chances are that it's either in or not). However, what I do know is that the same controversy about it existing will still exist, but perhaps even more heatedly, now that there is less time for some people to use it to its fullest advantage before the next rotation.

There are a number of unreleased cards from Lost Link that had Lost Zone effects other than Lost World, so I wouldn't say "confirmed." I kind of want to see it released just because I want to run a Lost World deck, but at the same time it's going to totally screw over our meta. People complain about SP being dominant right now, but at least there is a variety of SP decks in the format and a few decks that aren't SP that do well. Lost World has every chance of making all other decks insignificant.

So, yeah, I hope for Lost World to be in the set, and I hope that Lost World will never be printed... AT THE SAME TIME. No confirmation of it at this time either way.

I REALLY don't want lost word to be released. If it is, and Lost Zone decks become dominant, I'm not even going to waste my money going to nats.

I have to agree with the people who don't want Lost World to come out. The game will become Luxchomp vs LostGar, with LostGar having the advantage. That doesn't sound like a good metagame to me.

This is assuming LostGar lives up to it's hype.

Which it won't, as I've said before.

Heck, even if it does, SP still outspeeds it incredibly, and it really has no chance when it's getting Rushed, Impacted, and Sprayed 24/7.

Vilegar still kills it if it doesn't run Spiritomb and can abuse Looker's, PONT, and Cynthia's to drop Pokemon from the hand.

Gyarados runs Regice and Junk Arm and Volkner's, and Rescues to get those cards back out.

Sablock donks it and disrupts it until it dies.

Machamp is probably at a disadvantage.

It really can't survive in this format at all. Heck, Regi prolly beats it.

one card i really want to see that no one has mentioned is warp point

i know its legal now and stuff, but think about it, it hasnt been printed since MD
so its gone in the next rotation unless we get it in the next 3 sets

What are you even talking about?

You understand that LostGar doesn't care what prizes you take. It's not interested in you knocking out it's Pokemon, or what the prize count is at. Its interested in fulfilling it's win condition while completely ignoring yours. This makes your entire LuxChomp/Sableye/VileGar/etc. argument invalid.

And Gyarados can't use Pokemon Rescues to get Pokes out of their Lost Zone so...dunno where you were going with that.

I believe when he was talking about Rescues he means you can discard Pokemon from your hand so they can't be sent to the lost zone, and get them back when you need them. Which is very true; in the one game I tested against LostGar, my Gyarados deck worked very well. I just set up before they could lost zone karps, and then kept Pokemon out of my hand the entire game. It was still a close game, but still, LostGar won't be as invincible as people make it out to be.

Of course, LostGar will probably be including 4 Seeker to force Pokemon into your hand before attacking.
