Can Ditto prism star mega evolve?

I don't know if this question has been answered in another thread or not but can you place a ditto down on your bench and next turn mega evolve it? Or even attach a spirit link to ditto so when you mega evolve it your turn won't end, since all the spirit links do not say they can only be attached to a specific pokemon. The mega pokemon do state they do evolve from another card and are classified as a stage 1.

Sorry, but you have an incorrect assumption in there.
They are NOT classified as a Stage 1.
The card states what their Stage is: Mega
Ditto * can only evolve into a Stage 1, so it cannot evolve into a Mega.
