Can Regiice's Resistance Blizzard attack's effect be reset by benching?

I was playing PTCGO and the defending Pokemon, Regice used Resistance Blizzard on my Absol.

Resistance Blizzard:
70 damage During your opponent's next turn, prevent all effects of attacks, including damage, done to this Pokémon by Pokémon-EX.

So on my turn I used escape rope to bench the Regice, then Lysandred it from the bench to put the Regice back active. I then attacked with Mega Tyranitar EX, but it did zero damage.

I thought effects of attacks reset if you bench a Pokemon, so I assumed I could do damage with Mega Tyrantiar's Destroyer King attack (110+ damage, this attack does 60 more damage for each damage counter on your opponent's Active Pokémon.) to Regice.

Is PTCGO in error? Or is the resetting only if the active player benches a pokemon?

Thanks!

Effects of attacks are always reset by benching the target (effects on the opponent, and effects of Abilities don't get reset in this way). There are several attacks with this template (during your opponent's next turn... this Pokémon) and they all reset after benchings.

Remember PTCGO is trying to program in the game rules. Its rare that a difference with play there means a game rule has changed.
