Change in UK prerelease prize structure? (UK TOs, please view and confirm)

Since TRR, this seems to have been the case for the English, but not for us in Scotland. It was only for the UF prereleases that we've been forced to keep to the 6+4 booster structure only. I was just wondering if this'll be the case for all UK Prs from now on.

Almost certainly. The only time I see a possibility of changing the system is with the release of the first 4th gen expansion.

As a TO I was indeed running a system where the higher placed players received more product, but as has been said TPFG has required that since TRR the prize structure has been standardized i.e. 6 boosters to play with, 4 boosters at the end with the normal pre-release promo, pin etc. When we first introduced this system a few of the players complained especially the better players as they were the ones who gained most from the old structure but I think this is a fairer system as it also gives cards to the less able players and gives them an incentive to play at the tourneys and league. My own son PokePup1 won our pre-release but we still like the new structure as it fosters a team spirit as opposed to elitism!!

Yeah, I can see where everyone is coming from now. It probably is fairer. What I'm still confused about though is that if the prerelease prize structure has been standardised since TRR, how come us scottish players haven't heard it till UF? We must be special like. :thumb: A little confusing. We'll probably have to do this for all PRs from now on, can anyone confirm that? Also, if we want, would we be allowed to further add to the prize structure with our own product?

(PS. Props to PokePup1 for winning his prerelease. I think I faced him at Nationals in 4th swiss round. He was using DragTrode in 11-14, wasn't he?...So was basically half the rest of 11-14  ... still if so, this means I can put "I beat PokePup1!" in my sig)

Because as already stated some TO's were not running to the agreed structure because it was apparently not EXPLICITLY stated that they should adopt the structure as used in the US.

Most not all did adopt the US structure straight away your TO did not as did some in England TPfG are just making sure we all adopt the same prize structure as a minimum.
