Chat on PTCGO is not working for me, can someone help me please?

Hello fellow pokemon lovers I was wondering if anyone else is having the same problem I am or if anyone knows how to fix it. I try to chat with others but when I clock on the chat box and try to type something in it doesn't let me, I can only use the emoticons and the sentences they already have. Can anyone help I am not sure if it's a bug or something.BTW: I am using windows 8.1

Hi there. When you create your trainer account you have an option for chat settings. By your description you must have put one of the "limited" settings for the game.

Steps to fix:
1.) Go to the main pokemon website
2.) Log into your trainer account
3.) Go to your trainer account settings page.
4.) Go to "Pokemon TCG Online Settings"
5.) Change Social Preferences from "Limited" to "Open"
