Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

City Championships 2009-2010 OREGON Events [UPDATED 12/2]

Yes, because the Huskies and Cougars were such college football standouts this year. As I was typing this, Masoli scored against the Husky defense again. Maybe the Cougars can recruit Drew Bledsoe to get his post-grad degree so they might actually gain a yard on offense.

:grass:GO DUCKS!!:lightning:

Look. next year the Huskys will WIN the rose bowl,, not just play in it.

Why are you guys talking about football on a cities thread? :D

Well Jozef said he could give me a ride sunday. All I need to do is convince my parents and figure out the food situation. (I can only get 6 bucks and that's not enough for 2 meals.) Also If someone could be so kind to lend me a toxicroak g promo, luxray gl, or luxray gl X. That would be great. I also would trade for them. I don't got many X's, but I got some decent rares. (Spiritomb AR, nidoqueen, arceues, etc)

Corvallis City Championship

Hello,

The Corvallis CC is in downtown Corvallis. Since it's Sunday, parking at the meters is free. There is a free parking lot on 2nd street, the street that the Old World Deli is situated. The deli is on the corner of 2nd and Adams. Shouldn't be too hard to find, we're a small town.

See you tomorrow! I built my own deck, so beware!

Corvallis CC Weather Warning

There is a dense fog weather advisory for this area of the Willamette Valley. It's foggy here now. Leave early and drive safely.

See you tomorrow.

Hey guys! A quick report from Ashland Cities today!

It was a lot of fun, starting off with KOBI news 5 dropping in for some interviews!

We had 30 enterants total, not a bad way to start off the year for us.

Masters - 15 Players
1st Place - Graham O.
2nd Place - Dillon M.

Seniors - 3 Players
1st Place - Robin H.
2nd Place - Lucus G.

Juniors - 12 Players
1st Place - Even A.
2nd Place - Micah O.

It was a lot of fun! The 2009 Pokemon Awards cermony was great, and we got to give away some great prizes! Now on to Medford tommarow! Here's hopin' we don't let all 6 of our medals migrate back to northern oregon...so far they are 3 for 3. :frown: Well hey, tommarow is another day!

Corvallis is rockin' and rollin' with 92 GREAT Pokemon competitors battling in the last City Championship of the 2009-10 season. We are currently in round 5, the last swiss round for the Juniors and Seniors before they cut to the Top 4. Masters will have one more round of swiss before they cut to the Top 8.

Robin won medford too!
Way to support us down in southern oregon robin!
Koichi won juniors as well. So that makes 14-15-16 city wins for relick!
Jozef won masters.
We left during masters top 4.

I'm posting in this thread. I think you all know why.

Well, a quick rap-up of our cities weekend before I head on off to bed! We had 28 Players total, some great
giveaways, and an awesome day at Astral Games!

Masters - 16 Players
1st Place - Steve B.
2nd Place - Graham O.

Seniors - 3 Players
1st Place - Robin H.
2nd Place - Brandon J.

Juniors - 9 Players
1st Place - Micah O.
2nd Place - Derek J.

Everyone was great this weekend, everybody chipped in, and everything ran pretty smooth! We had some fun
events, I'd like to thank Steve B. for hosting the DS events both days! The only real draw back to the whole
weekend was that none of our players won any city medals. But I'll tell you what Northern Oregon, I'm making it
my personal crusade that next year, we will win all 6! (yea I know...that's a lofty goal...but I'm a Duck, I STILL
LIKE THOSE ODDS!)

My First City Championships 1st Place at Medford

For my first city championship medal at medford i was playing shuppet and every thing played out fast on my first every game i was able to get what i needed i my hand.

Round 1 vs gyrados
The guy just started playing so i went a little easy on him and gave him a few pointers. He got a quick a gyardos with an expert belt and knock out on my crobat g, then i went and was able to get every thing i needed to knock out his active gyrados and take two prizes then i braught up mr mime and had him locked down from attacking. On his next turn he put a magicarp on his bench and i knocked it out using poketurns. Then the rest was easy.

1-0

Round 2 vs Graham w/Luxchomp
This was one of my hardest matches of the day. I got three prizes in two turns then he braught up dialga g with an expert belt and trainer locked me but he made the mistake of not poketurning his dialga g when it had 120 damage on it. On my next turn i played shuppet and a bucks training and knocked his dialga g then he braught luxray and couldnt do anything so on my next turn i knocked it out then time was called and i won.

2-0

Round 3 vs Tyranitar
He went first and had three basics out so i couldnt donk him but i did manage to take two prizes in one turn but he did mangage a bit of a comeback and got ttar out but i was able to knock it out in two turns.

3-0

Round 4 vs Dillion w/gengar

This was one match that i wasnt worried one bit he startded out with spiritomb but i was able to knock it out in two turns but he was getting everything he needed but his gengars i used two poke blowers to force him to bring up his haunter on his bench and knocked it out. Then i took two more prizes then he scooped

4-0 Yay top cut got to relax

First Round vc machamp
Game one this person was able to knock out anything i braught we both got down one prize the his person braught up a machamp with no energy and ended the i went and played two poke blowers to force up claydol for the win. Game two i started out with spiritomb so i went and got unown q and was able to get two prizes in two turns but because this person couldnt play trainers they scooped.

Final Round vs Graham w/Luxchomp
Great he we go again game one he trainer locked me so i scooped to save time. Game two he couldnt get anything and i was able to get five prizes really quick then he trainer locked me and had to make it to where he couldnt tie me in prizes then was called. Game three sudden death one prize each i went first couldnt do anything the he goes and all he could is energy gain and attach energy and dragon claw for thirty damage to cobat g then i went and got everthing i needed to knock out his garchomp c for the win and my first city medal.

Props
Jason Awsome judging
Graham taking me to the limit
Micah O. and Evan A. in the junior division for each winning a medal and bringing it back to eugene.
Astral Games for being a great card shop.

Marc C. vs. Koichi-- Koichi wins

Thank you to all who supported this tournament by buying food at the Old World Deli. They like us and have invited us back. This is huge as it's difficult to find a place to hold an all-day tournament! Thank you pokemon players ! Special thanks to Momma June for being on litter patrol. Our judging staff was outstanding as usual. BDS runs a great show. A++

I took photos and will post them soon.
