CoD4 X-box Live problems

Well I got live, and I played some games.

Halo 3 worked perfectly, but then I got on to Cod4.

I recieved the update, but then when I proceeded to press multiplayer got a black screen and the game froze.

So I tried the campaign game. I did the first level then tried multiplayer again, and it works. Until the end of the match that is when it freezes.

So then I try again, and this time I cannot get to the multiplayer menu again and get the black screen. Then I try the first level of campaign again and it works, until the match starts, then it freezes. The next time I get halfway through a match before it froze.


I am stumped

anyone know what to do?

Try playing campaign offline. Xbox live has been glitchy for the past 3 weeks.

ok, I'll try. Well now I can get in to games fine but it keeps freezing half-way through.

They did a server upgrade too. Halo has been working fine, cod4 has been laggy as ****.

So it might be the server?

It might have been the upgrade itself.
If the upgrade had a glitch in it the game won't work.

ok, I'll try. Well now I can get in to games fine but it keeps freezing half-way through.

Thats what my 360 did a few days before it red-ringed.

I should note that I'm not having exceedingly distressing issues with CoD 4 online ATM.

Yah same here, I tried to play a couple games of halo and my game froze in mid match. About a day later I got the ring.
