== DRAGON VEIL (Kingdra - EX:Team Rocket Returns)

Q. If a Kingdra with "Dragon Veil" was in play and the opponent used "Brick Smash" against a Fighting-weak Pokémon or "Fastwave" against a Psychic-weak Pokémon, would the attack's damage be normal or doubled? In other words, would the attack override the Dragon Veil, allowing the attack to apply Weakness?
A. Dragon Veil is an effect on the defending Pokemon and is ignored by attacks that ignore effects on the defending Pokemon. Therefore, it does not protect from weakness damage applicable for those attacks and the damage would be doubled for weakness. (July 21, 2005 PUI Rules Team)

== RAI-SHIELD (Raichu EX - EX:Emerald)

Q. If several of your Raichu-EX are damaged at once by an opponent's Pokémon-EX, is damaged reduced by 30 for all of them?
A. Yes, but multiple Raichu-EX's with "Rai-Shield" do not increase the damage reduction. (July 21, 2005 PUI Rules Team)

== BURN DOWN (Charizard EX - EX:Fire Red / Leaf Green)

Q. Charizard-EX's "Burn Down" damage isn't affected by Weakness, Resistance, Poke-Powers, Poke-Bodies, and any other effects on the Defending Pokemon. Several attacks (like Agility, Psychic Shield) prevent damage on the next turn; is "Burn Down" damage prevented by such attacks?
A. All those attacks place an effect on the Pokémon that used the attack, and are thus ignored by "Burn Down". Unless you can stop the attack entirely (e.g. Baby Rule flip), or where the attack effect resides on Charizard-EX (e.g. Smokescreen), Burn Down does its damage. (July 21, 2005 PUI Rules Team)

== HOARD (Farfetch'd - EX:Fire Red / Leaf Green)

Q. Say you have FR/LG Farfetch'd out and use "Hoard", then attach a Crystal Shard to it. Does the Shard get discarded since it attacked, or does the Shard stay since he just attacked and the Shard got attached AFTER the attack?
A. Crystal Shard would stay. It wasn't there for the trigger of the Pokemon starting the attack and doesn't look back in time for a triggering. (July 21, 2005 PUI Rules Team)

== RAINBOW MOVES (Togetic - EX:Team Rocket Returns)

Q. If you have Togetic use "Rainbow Moves" to copy Dark Ampharos' "Shock Bolt", do you still do 70 damage even if Togetic doesn't have any Lightning energies attached?
A. Yes. Rainbow Moves copies the attack except for its energy cost, therefore you don't need L energy to use the attack. So if Togetic has no Lightning energy attached, it has none to discard and the rest of the attack still takes place. But if Togetic does have any Lightning energies attached, it would have to discard them. (July 21, 2005 PUI Rules Team)

== EXP.ALL (EX:Fire Red / Leaf Green)

Q. If I have a Pokemon with EXP.All on it and I evolve into a Pokemon-EX, does the EXP.All get discarded?
A. Yes, of course it does. (July 21, 2005 PUI Rules Team)
