I tried to do this one at WizPoG, but it didn't work out.:( Anyway, the set is a Gym-style set (sorta) in that the Pokemon are all owned by various characters. I'm basing this one on my personal favorite video game series, Mega Man X. All Pokemon are permitted. Below are the characters and the types of Pokemon they will theme around.
    • X. The original Maverick Hunter will have Evolution Pokemon of various types. Specifically, X will at the least have full Evolution lines of the playable starters from G/S/C and R/S.
    • Zero: This saber-wielding 'bot will get Pokemon themed around claws and blades of various types, including a few Steel types.
    • Sigma: The evil computer virus (is there any other kind?) will theme around Dark, Ghost and Psychic types.
    • Chill Penguin: Ice Man's protege gets Ice-type Pokemon. He may also get a few other Water-types.
    • Magma Dragoon: The fiery traitor gets Fire-type Pokemon, and may have some Fighting-types on the side.
    • Magna Centipede: The computer bug with the magnetic personality gets Electric Pokemon.
    • Storm Eagle: The Skiver's role model gets Flying types.
    • Morph Moth: This buggy bug gets Bug-types.
    • Armored Armadillo: This shielded, shelled shaker (say that one five times fast) gets armored Pokemon, mostly Rock types, with some Steel.
    • Wheel Gator: This reptilian menace is the lucky owner of Dragon-type Pokemon. He may also get some other Normal Pokemon, since Dragon's a relatively small type.
    • Axle the Red: The X series' resident plant-bot gets Grass Pokemon, and may also get some Poison Pokemon.
There you go. Go to it, and have fun!

If a Pokémon with an Infection counter evolves or devolves into a Pokémon with a Weakness to {P}, remove the Infection counter from that Pokémon. Do not place any new Infection counters if Sigma's Espeon is affected by a Special Conditon. If all Pokémon in play that provide effects involving Infection counters are Knocked Out, remove all Infection counters from play.
{P}{P}{P} Dark Blast If the Defending Pokémon has Mega Man or X in its name, this attack's base damage is 60 instead of 20. If the Defending Pokémon has Light, Shining, Brock, Misty, Erika, Sonic, Tails, or Knuckles in its name, this attack's base damage is 30 instead of 20 . 20

During your next turn, you may draw 2 cards at the start of your turn and the base damage of any of Armored Armadillo's Relicanth's attacks is increased by 10 (before Weakness and Resistance). 20

Meta-rule: "Whenever a card refers to a Pokemon having X in its name, that Pokemon must have 'X's' in its name as a separate word."

    X Buster
    Technical Machine
Attach X Buster to one of your Pokemon in play with X in its name. At the end of your turn, discard X Buster. The Pokemon X Buster is attached to may use this attack instead of its own:

    (C) Charged Blast 10+
If this Pokemon has exactly 2 Energy attached to it, this attack does 10 damage plus 10 more damage. If this Pokemon has exactly 3 Energy attached to it, this attack does 10 damage plus 30 more damage. If this Pokemon has 4 or more Energy attached to it, this attack does 10 damage plus 50 more damage.

    Maverick Hunter Headquarters
    Stadium Card
    (Stadium Rule)

All Pokemon with Mega Man, X, or Zero in their names get +20 HP.

    Enhancement Capsule
    Pokemon Tool

(Rule) You can't have more than one Enhancement Capsule in your deck.

Attach Enhancement Capsule to one of your Pokemon with X in its name that does not already have a Pokemon Tool attached to it.

Choose one of the following effects to apply to the Pokemon Enhancement Capsule is attached to (You can't change your choice as long as Enhancement Capsule is in play):
    • Reduce this Pokemon's Retreat Cost by (C).
    • Increase the base damage of all of this Pokemon's attacks by 10.
    • Whenever this Pokemon takes damage, reduce that damage by 10.
    • Increase this Pokemon's maximum HP by 10.
    Zero's Sacrifice

    Trainer

Attach Zero's Sacrifice to one of your Benched Pokemon with Zero in its name. If your Active Pokemon would be damaged by an attack, you may discard Zero's Sacrifice to make the Pokemon Zero's Sacrifice is attached to your Active Pokemon (before doing damage or any other effects). You may not discard more than one Zero's Sacrifice in this way for the same attack. If the Pokemon Zero's Sacrifice is attached to becomes your Active Pokemon, discard Zero's Sacrifice.

    Sigma's Gastly
    (P)
    40 HP
    Weakness: (D)
    Resistance: (F)
    Retreat Cost: N/A

    (P) Delayed Attack
If the Defending Pokemon attacks or retreats during your opponent's next turn, Sigma's Gastly attacks that Pokemon for 20 damage, even if Sigma's Gastly has been moved to the bench. Even if this attack Knocks Out your opponent's Pokemon, all effects of your opponent's attack still happen.

    (P)(C) Delayed Switch
If one of your opponent's Pokemon attacks Sigma's Gastly during your opponent's next turn, and if you have any Benched Pokemon, switch Sigma's Gastly with one of your Benched Pokemon. That Pokemon is now the Defending Pokemon instead of Sigma's Gastly.

    Sigma's Haunter
    (P)
    60 HP
    Weakness: (D)
    Resistance: (F)
    Retreat Cost: (C)

    (P)(C) Ghostly One-Two
Flip 2 coins. For each heads, choose one of your opponent's Pokemon and this attack does 20 damage to that Pokemon. If you get two heads, you may choose the same Pokemon twice. Do not apply Weakness and Resistance for this attack.

    (P)(P) Spooker
Flip a coin. If heads, shuffle the Defending Pokemon and all cards attached to it into your opponent's deck. You can't use this attack if there is only one Defending Pokemon and your opponent has no Benched Pokemon.

    Sigma's Gengar
    (P)
    90 HP
    Weakness: (D)
    Resistance: (F)
    Retreat Cost: (C)

    Poke-Power: Redirect
If your opponent's Pokemon attacks Sigma's Gengar, flip 2 coins. (Before applying any effects of the attack.) If both are heads, choose one of your opponent's Pokemon. Do all damage from that attack to that Pokemon instead of Sigma's Gengar. All other effects of attacks still happen to Sigma's Gengar. This Poke-Power stops working if your opponent has no Benched Pokemon or if Sigma's Gengar is already affected by a Special Condition when your opponent attacks. You may not use this Poke-Power if Sigma's Gengar was not one of your Active Pokemon when your opponent declared the attack.

    (P)(P)(P) Ghostly Hold 30
Flip a coin. If heads, until the end of your next turn, Sigma's Gengar and the Defending Pokemon can't retreat and ignore any effect that would cause Sigma's Gengar or the Defending Pokemon to be moved to the Bench. (All other effects of attacks, Trainers, and Pokemon Powers still happen.)
