Now that the Mega Man X set seems to be done, it's time for another set. This time, the theme game is Super Smash Brothers: Melee. Here are the characters and their themes:
    • Kirby. The pink puffball will use Colorless Pokemon.
    • Ganondorf. The Triforce-seeking villain gets Dark-type Pokemon.
    • Yoshi.This gentle dinosaur gets Grass-types.
    • Ness. The psychic kid from Onett gets Psychic Pokemon, oddly enough.
    • Donkey Kong. This pummeling primate gets Fighting-type Pokemon. Try to use mostly Pokemon that were actually Fighting in the Game Boy games.
    • Roy. The super swordsman from Fire Emblem gets Fire-type Pokemon.
    • Ice Climbers. The mountain-climbing duo get Water-type Pokemon, especially Ice-types.
    • Mr. Game & Watch. This outlined oldie gets Steel-types and Electric types.
    • [EDIT] Adding in another character. Falco will be in charge of Flying-types.
All Pokemon up to and including Ruby and Sapphire are allowed, except Jirachi and Deoxys. I will want Pokemon-ex, but do not post them yet. I do want Trainers. At least one each of the following per character: TM, Supporter with the character's name, "characteristic" Trainer (an example from the last set is Armored Armadillo's Armor), Stadium. Other Trainers are also welcome, but it must relate either to a specific character or to Super Smash Brothers: Melee in general. No limits on how many Pokemon or Trainers any one character gets, as long as you stay on theme. Please avoid new or illegal game mechanics. Also, please do not post more than one card for the same Pokemon for the same character, unless it's a Basic that evolves (up to 2 cards per evolving Basic per character, please, and I'd like each to be from a different card creator.)

    Man, I wanted Falco to be in it...but I'll do G & W in a little while. Can I have Scyther if I want G & W to have a Scizor?

He would kind of need it, wouldn't he? Same story with Onix.

Ok, I was just making sure that I didn't need Steel basics(like Aron or something) to have a line of Pokes. ^_^

Fine, since ya'll took my Falco idea, I'll do Sheik before doing some official ones.

Shiek is a fan of free retreat, quick damage Pokemon. Their type doesn't matter, but they must have something ninja-like about them.

    Sheik's Sneasel-60 HP-Dark Basic

(D)(C)Slice-20+-Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 30 damage, and you may choose to switch Sneasel with one of your Benched Pokemon. If tails, this attack does 20 damage.

(D)(D)(C)Ninja's Trickery-30-Choose a card at random from your opponent's hand. Your opponent must shuffle that card into their deck.

    Weakness: Fighting
    Resistance: Psychic
    Retreat: N/A

    Sheik's Scyther-70 HP-Grass Basic

(G)Throwing Stars-10x-Flip 3 coins. This attack does 10 times the number of heads.

(G)(C)(C)Invisibile-30-Flip a coin. If heads, your opponent can't attack Sheik's Scyther next turn. (Benching/Evolving ends this effect)

    Weakness: Fire
    Resistance: Fighting
    Retreat: N/A

    Sheik's Hitmonlee-60HP-Fighting Basic

Poke-Body:Furtive:When Sheik's Hitmonlee is on the bench, you may choose to shuffle it and all cards attached to it into your deck.

(F)(C)(C)-Rebound Kick-40-Switch Sheik's Hitmonlee with one of your benched Pokemon. This attack can only be used if you have benched Pokemon.

    Weakness: Psychic
    Resistance: N/A

    There, some Sheik cards...
    Retreat: N/A

Sorry, Captain, but no Sheik. I'm trying not to have more than one character from the same series, and I'm not using Pokemon. However, those are good cards. Please keep them as is, giving them to the appropriate characters (although attack names may need to change).

Yea, I figured that would happen. Oh well, at least I made some cards...lol. Good practice before going to work on G & W. ^_^

Oh yea, give Scyther to Yoshi, Sneasel to Ganondorf, and Hitmonlee to Donkey Kong then. I guess I might as well make them legal for the set. ^_^

Also, I think you should add Samus for Steel types, and let G & W have only Electric types. With that, I plan to do some Steel Pokes for Samus, seeing how Samus is from another series. Captain Falcon could also take the Sheik "fast Pokemon" concept, being from another series as well. It's up to you though. ^_^

Actually, G&W got both because Steel is such a tiny type. Including Steelix and Scizor's pre-evolutions, only having Steel would've only given G&W 15 possible Pokemon. I think this set has all the characters it needs.

    Had to get these Pokemon!
    Falco's Pidgey
    40 HP
    1 (C) Aerial images
If Falco's Pidgey is attacked your opponent flips a coin. If tails the attack does nothing not even damage. If Falco's Pidgey evolves this effect remains on the evolution or any evolution after that. If the pokemon with this effect is attacked successfully then Aerial Images is no longer in effect.
    1 (C) Wing Attack 10
    W: (L) R:(F) Ret: 1 (C)
    Falco's Pidgeotto
    60 HP
    2 (C) Blinding Air-Speed 20
If Falco's Pidgeotto is attacked next turn your opponent flips 2 coins. If either is tails that attack does nothing. Ignore this effect if the defending pokemon has 0 retreat or resistance to (F).
    3 (C) Lone Bird 50 (Since Falco isn't a group person)
If there are any other pokemon on your side of the field with resistance to fighting this attack's base damage is 10.
    W: (L) R: (F) Ret: 0 (C)
    Falco's Pidgeot
    80 HP
    3 (C) Speed Attack 30
If this attack knocks out the defending Pokemon then prevent all effects of attacks including damage done to Falco's Pidgeot during your opponent's next turn.
    4 (C) Mirror Move
If Falco's Pidgeot was dealt damage during your opponent's last turn this attack does the same amount of damage. You may flip a coin. If heads this attack does twice as much as your opponent's last attack. If tails this attack does nothing.
    W: (L) R: (F) Ret: 0 (C)
    Trainer
    Arwing
If your active pokemon has Fox or Falco in it's name. Arwing does 20 damage to the active pokemon with the most HP remaning.
(similar to what the SSBM Arwings do)

Celebexpert2...are you aware as to how broken those cards would be in a Modified setting? At least make them EX, if anything. No basic without major drawback should have 120 HP. Anyway, time for some G & W cards...

    G&W's Onix-90 HP-Fighting Basic

(F)Burrow-Flip a coin. If heads, reduce any damage G&W's Onix would take next turn by half, rounded up(before applying Weakness and Resistance).

(C)(C)Rock Throw-20x-Flip 2 coins. This attack does 20 damage times the number of heads.

    Weakness: Grass
    Resistance: N/A
    Retreat: 3

    G&W's Steelix-120 HP-Steel Stage 1

Poke-Body:Iron Curtain:Your benched Pokemon can't be affected in any way by attacks, Trainers, or Poke-Bodies/Powers as long as G&W's Steelix is active.

    (S)(S)(C)(C)Axis Rotation-70-Place 2 damage counters on G&W's Steelix.

    Weakness: Fire
    Resistance: Grass
    Retreat: 4

That's all I have right now. 90 HP might be high for the Onix, but 3 Retreat and flippy attacks make it useless besides for the Steelix. The Steelix has 120 HP due to the side affect of Axis Rotation. Note the wording of the effect...it says damage counters, so Steel Energy won't prevent the drawback. Iron Curtain might be useful against threats such as SS 'Buzz and ER2, among other things.

dkates, I have 4 cards from your old Mega X Set attempt in the old Pokégym. Here they are (names changed of course).

    Ice Climbers’ Shellder
    30 HP
    (W)
    Basic Pokemon
    Weakness: (L)
    Resistance: N/A
    Retreat Cost: (C)

    (C) Tackle 10

    (W)(W) Protect
Flip a coin. If heads, prevent all effects of attacks done to Ice Climbers’ Shellder during your opponent's next turn.

    Ice Climbers’ Cloyster
    70 HP
    (W)
Stage 1 Pokemon (Evolves from Ice Climbers’ Shellder)
    Weakness: (L)
    Resistance: N/A
    Retreat Cost: (C)(C)

    Poke-Body: Hard Shell
If an attack would do 30 or more damage to Ice Climbers’ Cloyster, it instead does 20 damage to Ice Climbers’ Cloyster.

    (W)(W)(C) Spikes
If, during your opponent's next turn, your opponent changes his Active Pokemon in any way, place 1 damage counter on the new Defending Pokemon. 20

    G&W's Scyther
    70 HP
    (G)
    Basic Pokemon
    Weakness: (R)
    Resistance: (F)
    Retreat Cost: N/A

    (C) Spinning Slash 30
Flip a coin. If tails, this attack does no damage and G&W's Scyther does 10 damage to itself.

    (G)(G) Infinite Slash 20X
Flip a coin until you get tails. This attack does 20 damage times the number of heads.

    G&W's Scizor
    90 HP
    (M)
Stage 1 Pokemon (Evolves from G&W's Scyther)
    Weakness: (R)
    Resistance: (G)
    Retreat Cost: (C)(C)

    (M)(C) Speed Slice 20-
Flip a coin for each of your opponent's Benched Pokemon. If heads, this attack does 20 damage to that Pokemon. Do not apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokemon. If all are tails, or if your opponent has no Benched Pokemon, this attack does 10 damage instead of 20.

    (M)(C)(C) Metallic Slash 20+
Flip a coin for each (M) Energy attached to G&W's Scizor. This attack does 20 damage plus 20 more damage for each heads.
