    on mac, if you do alt-d you get this thing:

    kinda like it

    And ∆ is the same as δ, it's alt-j

    the triangle is a capital delta(which in math means 'change'). δ is a lowercase delta.

    I know what the eggy the triangle is...I'm questioning the PARTIAL DERIVATIVE sign he used.

    On Ubuntu there is a character map where it gives all kinds of wired characters like ᛤᛞᛝᛒꀱ for example. To make the delta symbol on any computer regarless of OS, the html is & # 9 4 8 ; with no spaces in between anything. δ
