Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Did the Pokemon TFG officialy die?

TCPi finally addressed the state of the game, and unfortunately, it is over. That does not take away from TCG or VG products and organized play continuing to go on.

No one plays it anymore and theirs no tournements for it or anything like that, so I think its gone for good. :(
too bad because it was fun... :(

The game did have a lot of potential, but it never got the support it needed centrally. One of the biggest problems to be honest was the simple cost of the figures. Especially when you're looking at random draws (and those who played at the beginning might remember the article I wrote about poor figure distribution between boosters in a sealed carton), such a high price really discourages the kids from getting involved. Between that, and rules which honestly needed a bit more development for them to be usable at an organized play level, the game was going nowhere fast.

RIP

here lies the pokemon tfg.
some found potetial in it.
some found it boring.
some dident know it existed.

too bad...

Hello there

It's just to put in false hype for a game that will fail.

Although this post made by me (oh roughly 22 months ago) may have been a bit harsh, I am not really surprised to return here tonight seeing an almost deserted forum. I'm glad that this game was able to get this far and it is not enjoyable to watch any part of Pokemon or Nintendo drift away to extinction...

TFG is dead! :( because no one plays it and its a little expensive....

I don't fully agree with that. My kids play and love the game. They play it all the time. Just sucks that that we cant find any of the new figures now that the game is over with.

I still like playing from time to time. I will need to start bringing them to my league again (as opposed to leaving them in the van lol).

I agree, not being able to get some of the new figures that we have been shown is really a downer. Some of them looked incredible scuplt-wise. At least, hopefully I can get some of the ones I missed from the first set relatively cheap now.

Not enough people knew about it.

Will the 'Gym's TFG category ever be deleted?

^They should just get rid of all of the threads, and replace the whole page with a huge jpeg, that says "RIP TFG," with a closeup of the Charizard TFG figure crying.

I guess putting a flower on its grave once a month was all for nought if its not officially dead.

I figured it died late last year when i heard nothing from it
