god i missed espeonchris =]
So yea Over the past 3 days hearing DING DONG BRONGZONG didnt get out of my head lol...
Thursday:
I Flew to Ohio with my brother from NY and arrived to the convention center around 2:00pm
I met up with adam garcia and walked around the hall after getting my badge.
meeting up with Team rocket, NY People, Pooka, Matt and Eric E., Alex B., Moss, Jason K. and others.
hung out for a bit and played some cards and then went to our hotel and slept.
Friday
arrived at 7:30 because of Ben R. *Benlugia* and i played with some KY people and OH people and then walked around the convention center. I sold alot of my cards next door and played in a pick up tournament. met 3 cool people Emanuel D.,and a Guy from north California so. I went 4-0 with empozong then losing to jayson with GG. Had a really horrible hand =[ but yea really cool guy. so i dropped and just chilled with some of the TR buddies and then getting stalked by the Ace and him talking to me about nude girls and other stuff that i wont want to say here.* R rating
* so im still undecided on what to play for saturday. i have 3 decks i could play.. Speed Spread that i playtested before going to nationals... but i was afraid of garchomp cause i had trouble with it.., my Ploxx which i used at regionals and losing to Ian R. form PA but i fixed my list since then and i was ceartain it was a easy play that would guarentee me some easy wins.. and last but not least was my empozong that i played over the nationals weekend and went 15-3 in testing and side tournaments. SO i decided to go with it and tweak it a bit and i was set and went to sleep.
Saturday
Today was the day im going to try and make top 32
I had a kinda bad morning with a stomach ache and me and adam go get some relievers which Helped =]
I get my deck checked and change some sleeves and get ready for the pairings. 532 masters i believe which was awesome =] So it was split in to 2 flights and top 32 in each and me and my brother got in to 2 different flights which was cool. I was in yellow and he was in blue. So i look at the pairings and my first round opponent is Josh Bangle *madhatter*
Round 1- Josh B. *mad hatter* w/ Eevolutions/techs
so we set up and talk and hes like im going to wager you and i asked why lol he said i have a good hand and i said my hand was ok. So i go first and start with baltoy and drew in to another baltoy and attached a call energy and CFF for piplup and brongzor. he goes and roseannes and uhh i forgot what else but i remember getting 2 claydols prinplup and brongzong turn 2 and dual splashing t3.. GG josh =[

Round 2 - ??? w/ Empoleon/fossils
So this game was pretty good got set up and rolling by turn 4 and i wagered and won and he had a bad setup so i koed each of his pokemon with surf together FTW.

round 3- ??? w/ Duskqueen
he opens with a nidoran female and a duskull and im like crap dusknoir.. <_< so i t2 aquashower and keep spreading and take 5 prizes at once and he just scooped. GG.

o great i get Tom D <_< ive seen him play at nationals 2 years ago and last year and he always top cuts and is a good player from ohio so im in for some fun.. I get a good hand and start spreading then he gets a t3 gallade and kos my empoleon with psychic cut and im like ugg and i just scoop cause i have nothing.. GG.

Round 5 Ellen G w/ eevees
Shes from NJ and drove some of my friends from Ny to ohio =]. so we start to play and i start to spread damage around and she has a energy drought and i take advantage of it so i spread enough damage. its 5-4 with me 3 prizes left so i use dual splash to ko her claydol and her espeon and when i ko her espeon her leafeon and jolteon are also koed because they dont have the hp boost for my last 4 prizes. GG Ellen.

He came in 2nd at the 2007 nationals so i know he was a good player.. and a pretty cool guy.
i start with a bad hand i think piplup and abunch of special energys and a call energy and i td a wager so i attached and wagered won i think then cff and im guessing he got a bad hand so i took advantage of it and started going aggressively im sorry we didnt have a full game. Hopfully you get a worlds invite and we can play again. =] I hope it can be longer this time.

Round 7 Brian G. w/ empoleon/fossils
so im playing my friend from ny so i sit down and take my deck out but... theres nothing in my deck box.. i look through my whole bag and nothing i go to my brothers game and look through his bag and nothing there.. SO IM ****** OFF AND SAD AT THE SAME TIME.. so i tell mike L. and he says if i dont make it in 10 mins i get a game loss and if i dont have my deck by the end of the round i get dropped so im scrambling and luckely i have my friends to help me. Andrew M. Ajay S. Anthony C. and Brent S. and i remake my deck cards for card.. well or so i thought.. So i get to my table and play my match with 15 mins left.. and he turn t3's everything to my horrid start and just scoop cause i dont think i can take 6 prizes or bench him in 15 mins.. sorry i couldnt make it a good game brian =[

so i resleve my deck and my friends ecourage me to keep playing and to make top cut.
Round 8 ??? with empoleon/ fossils
hes one of adams friends from texas and we get going.. i find out i prized 2 baltoys and its not going good :[ so i try and go agressive and take the first prize which was a baltoy.. so next turn i baltoy rc claydol and we wagered each other 7 times that game. so i start snipping and so does he then i went aggro and took 4 prizes to his 2 and time is called on his turn and he couldnt take the 3 prizes to win him the game. GG dude.

one more and im in i have a high resistance and if i win i make it if i dont i might make it so im hoping for this win.

i just recently added him on face book and hes pretty good in the New england area. so i have a horrid start and i see him have a better one so i concede in like 5-6 turns i believe. Cool person and great player..

I WAS SO EXCITED but then i realized i have to play the undefeated which is one of my friends from PA ian R.
Top 64 Ian R. w/ GG
so he beat me at regionals and i know i want my Revenge at him for beating me. lol
Game 1 I get a good start so does he and we exchange some blows but i start snipping and im not to ceartain about this game but i think when he broke the psychic lock is when i capitalize and took the game. 1-0
Game 2 he opts to go 1st
so i have a good hand he passes i believe i go and attach and call. he goes and benches and smacks me.. i rc empoleon claydol and start snipping.. i take about 4 prizes befor he kos me so i send up another empoleon with cess and lock it in there and spread and spread untill he koed me and i was able to win the game 2 ways either brongzong to ko his claydols or empoleon to ko his claydols. he extended his hand and said good luck and im in top 32. WHOOT.

I leave my deck, go to sleep and get ready for top 32.
Sunday
I get there and get my deck and they tell me i need to change my duskull because i had the wrong one so i get the right one and sit and get ready to play.
Top 32 David C. w/ Blissey
me and david used to play apprentice together and talk on aim 2 years ago and i know hes a good player in the TN area so we get set up and the HJ comes and says i get a game loss.. I asked why and they said because of my duskull. so now im playing from 0-1 and i need to win these 2 games..
G1 I get set up and we exchange blows back and foward.. i windstorm his cess and use my claydols power and take 3 prizes befor he scooped he prized 2 blisseys that game.
G2 he goes first and attaches i go and set up and he scrunches for a while.. and i set up. and start taking prizes and get set up. once i windstorm his last 2 cesscrystals i dont have to worry about being power locked. so i get down to 3-4 prizes in my favor and i send up a brongzong thinking i have a warp point.. but its prized so im stuck with it there while i power up my bench. i felt that had to be the biggest misplay of the entire origins. So he kos me and i ko him back. and he kos me and time is called with us tied on prizes.. on his turn he has a blissey with 90 damage on it and i have a active empoleon with 1 damage and another one on my bench with 1 damage.. so he warp points me and i switch to the other empoleon and he boost energys and crystal beaches >_> and hits me for 70 insted of 90. and i surf together for the ko. so i start to leave and Dave S. tells everyone in top 16 to go back and he says the pairings were wrong and everyone gets worlds invites.. I thought we were going to take pictures XD but hearing that brightened my day.
after that walked around and top 2 was drew vs gino and gino won
so i congratulate mikey and gino for making top 4 and then walk around and play some cards..
after that i go and play Fluxx with anthony C., Taylor and taylor's mom. Fluxx is pretty cool.
then play poker with some of the TR guys till 2 am and go to sleep.
