2nd!
Didn't this use to be a deck.
80 for 1 against garchomp: excellent.
a possible 90 for 2 : okay.
all in all this is a good card but not much good combos can be used.
6/10 modified

Today's DNIWER CotD is Scizor from MD...well, I never was that big a fan of it, and it's a somewhat ok option these days along with Scizor Prime from UD. Statwise, 90 HP is average for a Stage 1, +30 Weakness to :fire: is eh, -20 Resistance to :psychic: is nice, and :colorless: to Retreat is cheap. Special Blow is a rather decent attack, dealing a solid 30 for :metal:, then an additional 50 if the Defending has a Special Energy attached to it, plus the discard of said Special. X-Scissor is your option for everything else, :metal::colorless::colorless: for an initial 50 is bad (DCE lessens the pain though), then another 40 if you flip Heads, which makes it then useful.

Modified - 5/10 (If you're absolutely sure you'll be facing opposition with Special Energy, this guy is easily techable if you run some Rainbow, and works nicely to compliment Scizor Prime, offering a damaging perspective instead of a defensive one)
Limited - 7/10 (Unlikely you'll see much Special Energy, but its attacks are still priced right along with the HP)
Unlimited - 2/10 (Yes, you'll probably see lots of Pokemon with Special Energy. Shame 80 damage won't KO the bulk of them, and likely any with some will OHKO Scizor)

This card has helped me win some games with my Scizor Prime. I've always liked this card. It's a great tech for this format if you're running the right deck. Special Energies are being ran on a consistent basis.

7.5/10

The major differences between this Scizor and the Scizor Prime are the lack of a PokeBody and the ability to compound damage by adding energy. What it lacks in those departments it makes up for in SPEED - 1 metal for 80 in an SP-heavy format is daunting and the +30 Fire weakness might survive a bit longer than Prime's x2 weakness.

As a tech in a Scizor Prime deck, it is very playable. I still favor the Prime version for its PokeBody and ability to add damage with every metal energy. But, this is still a very playable tech.

Just want to point out you do not discard the special with the first attack. It stays. This is a common misconception of the attack,

Well, they are certainly complements to each other. Like Yesterday... I went against a T-Tar Prime. He used the attack that got around Scizor's body. So, I used this Scizor to score some KO's. I don't see this Scizor being ran by itself. But it should be with decks that is running the Scizor Prime.

Double Colorless Energy being ubiquitous, as well as many other Special Energy, makes this a good pinch-hitter. It runs well in tandem with Scizor Prime, although you should have a backup attacker that can wallop on teams that don't use much, if any, Special Energy.

Its HP leaves it vulnerable to Flash Bite + Dragon Rush, but with Special Metal Energy and/or something like Defender (I wouldn't use Expert Belt on this card), it is more likely to survive.

This is a VERY GOOD tech against Umbreom from UD in any Scizor Prime deck. Still it does some nasty damage for one energy, providing that your opponent's active pokemon has that DCE, Call, Warp, or any other special energy card out there. 90 HP is also very good for a stage 1.

I give it a 9/10 for the current format.
