Dutch Pokemon Master 2006

We are proud to announce a series of 4 Master Tournaments, which will reveal us the
Pokemon Master 2006 of each agegroup we have. (10-, 11-14 and 15+)

At each tournament there are day prizes to earn, but also Masterpoints.
The player with in total the most Masterpoints after the 4th Mastertournament will be Pokemon Master 2006.
Masterpoints are also good for boosters, for 2 Masterpoints you will receive 1 booster after the finals of the 4th tournament.

Mastertournament # 1 Halloween Unlimited 30 October 2005
Mastertournament # 2 Christmas Teamplay 17 December 2005
Mastertournament # 3 Valentijn Draft 12 February 2006
Mastertournament # 4 Easterbunny Modified 9 April 2006

From 17 October 2005 players can subscribe for a Masterpas.
A Masterpas will guaranty you of a seat in each of the 4 Mastertournaments and your admission is payed for all 4 Mastertournaments.
The price of a Masterpas is 30 Euro and must be payed at 30 October 2005 at the Halloween Tournament.
Masterpasses are limited on seat availability, first comes first serves.

When at 20 October 2005 there are still seats left over for Mastertournament # 1 , single subscriptions for this tournament are accepted.
Dates for left over seats at the other 3 Mastertournaments and all details, can be found on this website in the purple box, click on the matching link.
(website is in Dutch, for any questions you can use this topic)

Mastertournament # 1 Halloween Unlimited
Single admission 7,50 Euro
Card named “Super Energy Removal” is banned
Slowking Neo Genesis is played the Japanese way (power only works for active Slowking)

The venue will be in Halloween style.
A ……..(very secret) will be judging and we heard Dart Vader and a walking skeleton are going to be present.
We like to invite all participants of this tournament to come dressed up in Halloween style.
Vampires, Skeletons, Witches and Ghost are more than welcome this day.
For every dressed up participant we have a goody as reward.
But please don’t forget to bring your Unlimited deck.

Note:
NONE of these and NONE of all other tournaments or clubs we are organising, are sanctioned or related to the Pokemon Organized Play program.
We are NOT supported/sponsored in any way.
PUI/POP has nothing to do with it, so remarks positive or negative should be send to us.

See you at one of our tournaments,
Lia and Henna

This sounds tempting..but a few questions:
1. Is it Dutch only?

2. Where at in the Netherlands...I couldnt see anything!

Good rules.

Just out of curiousity Rainbowgym, could you tell us what decks place after each turnament is over? That would be very nice.

I am sure all will be welcome after all these are tournaments that need your support :)

Dutch only??? Are you kidding?? Of course not.
We are speaking 3 languages which includes German ( not that good but enough for playing)
We organize POKEMON tournaments for players who want to play POKEMON.

The venue is in a city called: AALSMEER
it's nearby Schiphol airport and we arrange if possible even pick up from the airport or the nearby trainstation HOOFDDORP.

The adres is:
Buurthuis Hornmeer
Roerdomplaan 3
Aalsmeer
The Netherlands.

Playingrules:
We follow the current gamerules, like at official tournaments.
BUT
for the Teamplay tournaments we have worked out extended rules to make it a real great way to play.
Rules which are not covered in the Compendium, are worked out by ourselves.

Cards:
We prefer English language cards.
Proxy cards allowed for Holografic Rare Pokemon, Star * and EX pokemon.

Homerules.
Everyone is welcome, as long as they obey our Homerules and moral standards.
We expect normal behaviour, this includes NO stealing, dirty language, lying, fighting.
It's our goal to have fun and fair play at all times.

We have more tournaments planned than these 4 Mastertournaments.
20 November 2005 Fundraft, if you ever experienced this, you never want to play sealed deck again.
2006 – more Fundraft, Teamplay and Modified tournaments. (we let our players decide)

Note: almost 30 players already registered for a Masterpas and 10 players with on option on a Masterpas, this means all 4 tournaments will have at least 30 players.

Hey I'll discuss if I can come maybe with some friends as well, we're just gonna see...one problem is already, the 30th...=/...that's when we have DS Prereleases, so that's not very good!

Well...there shouldnt be any language barrier, because I can speak English fluently and I know that Dutch people are good at speaking english =)
So...I'll check if we can go to any of those Tourneys!!! I'll lyk as soon as I know more!

If we were organizing official, the first Mastertournament could have been a Pre-release, and the Christmas tournament a City Championship, the Valentijn a CC again and the Easter a State or Regional.
We even could guarantee that at least 30 players were going to participate.
I even dare to state that in case of an official event a minimum of 40 players is easy to get for us.

NOBODY in our country and even surrounding countries can guarantee such numbers event after event.
We even can beat 50% of the attendance numbers of the USA prereleases or meaby even the Worldwide Pre-releases. And I even think our numbers will beat almost each CC in Europe.

Hi there,

Would love to go but is there any hope of you having a modified tourney this year, and could you tell me where I can find some rules for teamplay, It sound v. interesting!

Also do you think it's worth traveling from London from this, put it another way, would you travel from the Netherlands to London for something like this?

Thanks very much,

J. Kempley

Hi Back,

Yes we also going to have Modified tourneys this season, but we pushed them back to next year.
I will try to translated the teamplay rules after we finished the halloween tournament.
Teamplay is the most favorite of our players, even while it's the most difficult way of playing.

Is it worth it?
Difficult question. We can't offer the prices like at official tournaments. We simply don't have the money for that.
We can't sanction them, so no player rewards.
Would I fly over, YES incase of a modified tournament with about 40 players, but that's a colored opinion. I can't play any tournament overhere because I'm suspended. So that would be my only chance to play.

So, to be honest. For the mastertournaments I would not fly over, you better wait untill March or May.
We are planning a Modified tournament with more prices, and meaby with more prices we will attrack some German and Belgium players to.
Also the Fundrafts are a nice experience, but we don't offer prices. It's 6 boosters, trade and play.

It all depends on what you expect. For a lot of fun, the fundrafts are THE tournament.
For the more serious work, the next years modified.
The mastertournaments are there for our players, to get some variation, because from the official Op program they have nothing to expect.

Hope this gave a good idea.
