What's better than a Custom Avatar Day? A Custom Avatar Week!
In honor of the 10th Anniversary of the PokeGym, members will be able to upload a custom avatar. The dates will be from 10 am PST on 12/25/2009 until 5 pm PST 12/31/2009.
New members may be unable to upload an avatar, as well as members who have misused the custom avatar privilege previously or who have 30 or more infraction points from the last 6 months, and all avatars must follow the requirements in this
FAQ entry.
The avatars are the decorations for our forum.
This is a Pokémon discussion forum.
Therefore, avatars need to be clearly Pokémon related, look good artistically and not be too distracting.
Lettering - Writing/lettering on the Avatars is not permitted, except as follows: your exact screen name or an exact Pokemon logo as found in the games/anime will be approved. Of course, even then, it has to be legible & not hurt our eyes. A logo consists of lettering and graphics in the style belonging to its owner, like the Team Galactic G -- most Gs are not a Team Galactic Logo - it has to be the right shape, style and color.
Art - The art must be clearly and majorly Pokemon-themed. Fake Pokemon do not count. Pictures of people or lightly altered/costumed pictures of people are not allowed. The art also has to look nice in staff's opinion and not be flashy or distracting for readers in the staff's judgment. Any animations should be slow to medium-slow paced.
Anyone that uploads any inappropriate avatars will get an automation 1 month ban and the loss of your privilege to have a custom avatar. No warnings will be given, this is your warning.
There will be no contest this time, I think that BDS and the rest of the crew will have plenty to entertain us with.
To upload your Avatar, simply go to your User CP, click Avatars, and scroll to the bottom of the page. You should see this screen:
