This set is one in a series of sets based on Diamond and Pearl. Some of the sets have DS-transmitted data that's linked together, while some others don't connect on their DS-transmitted data. Here's a road map of the sets:

    EX: D&P: ???
-Coming soon. Two sets. Look for Johto gyms and elites, plus 1 from Kanto.
    EX: D&P: ???
-Coming soon. Two sets. Look for Hoenn gyms and elites.

This set focuses on well-known trainers (OK, so some of them aren't well-known) that (for the most part) don't hold some gym, elite, or evil position. <OOPS!>, some of them were one-shots in the Pokémon anime! In the Retrotrainer block of this series of sets, 12 trainers are familiar faces to the CaC forum and get their fourth-generation fix. Here, we have a skilled Sunflora trainer, a seeker of Lugia, some dojo resident, and the owner of the first evidence of nicknames for Pokémon in the anime.

However, just because this block of sets is called Retrotrainer, that doesn't mean there can't be new faces. These faces are familiar to those who've watched the Pokémon anime but haven't yet appeared in a CaC set. How will a highly competitive trainer and a creepy Pokémon coordinator fare in their CaC TCG debuts?

Each of the trainers in this set have Pokémon and Trainer cards to match them. There will also be unique DS- and Wii-transmitted data that will be revealed at the end of the Blue set! Just how unique? You'll have to wait to find out! Here are the trainers presented in this Green set:

    Sonrisa
    Gender: Female
    Skilled Sunflora Trainer
Specialty: Grass-Type Pokémon and Attacks ({G} in TCG)
Game Debut: Not In The Games
Anime Debut: Episode 137, "Grin to Win" (season 3)
Most Recent Anime Appearance: Sonrisa has made only one appearance
Interesting Tidbit: In the anime, where Sonrisa originates, Brock indirectly accused one of Sonrisa's rivals of using steroids on his own Sunflora. Good thing it wasn't in a Pokémon League-sanctioned event, since the Pokémon Leagues in the anime are bound to have tough steroid policies.

    Luka
    Gender: Female
    Seeker of Lugia
Specialty: Water-Type Pokémon and Attacks ({W} in TCG)
Game Debut: Not In The Games
Anime Debut: Episode 216, "Mantine Overboard!" (season 5)
Most Recent Anime Appearance: Episode 224, "A Promise is a Promise" (season 5)
Interesting Tidbit: Interestingly enough, the seekers of Lugia and Suicune specialize in the opposite types. Luka seeks the Psychic/Flying-type Lugia yet specializes in Water-types, while Eusine seeks the Water-type Suicune yet specializes in Psychic-types.

    Shingo
    Gender: Male
    Member of a Fighting Dojo
Specialty: Fighting-Type Pokémon and Attacks ({F} in TCG)
Game Debut: Not In The Games
Anime Debut: Episode 142, "Wired for Battle" (season 3)
Most Recent Anime Appearance: Shingo has made only one appearance
Interesting Tidbit: Shingo's signature Pokémon, Scizor (nicknamed Blade), doesn't match his listed specialty.

    Ritchie
    Gender: Male
Pokémon Trainer, Top 8 At Kanto League
Specialty: Varieties of Pokémon and Attacks
Game Debut: Not In The Games
Anime Debut: Episode 80, "A Friend In Deed" (season 2)
Most Recent Anime Appearance: Chronicles 18, "The Search For A Legend"
(In Main Series): Episode 224, "A Promise is a Promise" (season 5)
Interesting Tidbit: If it weren't for Pokémon Puzzle League, odds are nobody would be spelling his name correctly, and Ritchie's name is still one of the most commonly misspelled names in the anime dub, even by respectable websites. Ritchie typically gives nicknames to his Pokémon. Like Ash, Ritchie keeps his Pikachu, Sparky, with him at all times. Ritchie boasts about catching the same kinds of Pokémon as Ash, but Ritchie's lineup doesn't align perfectly with Ash. Ash has caught several varieties Ritchie hasn't (Pidgeotto comes to mind), nobody recalls Ash ever having an Eevee in the anime (Chronicles 10, "Oaknapped", surrounds Ritchie trying to ask Oak for information about his Eevee, which doesn't make an onscreen appearance--and we don't even know what Ritchie calls it!), and Ash and Ritchie have had some Pokémon in different stages from each other (Ash's Larvitar and Cruise, Ritchie's Pupitar, come to mind).

    Morrison
    Gender: Male
Pokémon Trainer, Top 16 At Hoenn League, Great Outdoorsman
Specialty: Varieties of Pokémon and Attacks
Game Debut: Not In The Games
Anime Debut: Episode 395, "Less Is Morrison!" (season 8)
Most Recent Anime Appearance: Episode 408, "At the End of the Fray" (season 8)
Interesting Tidbit: Morrison rarely sleeps indoors, instead preferring to sleep in hammocks outdoors. When facing Ash at the Hoenn Pokémon League (episode 406, "A Judgement Brawl", and episode 407, "Choose It or Lose It", a match Morrison eventually lost), he didn't send out his second Pokémon until Ash talked him into it, something Ritchie, Harrison, or Tyson would never do. Interestingly enough, in the Japanese version, Morrison's voice is done by the same person who did Goku in the original Dragon Ball.

    Harley
Gender: Male, although he doesn't act it
Pokémon Coordinator, Hoenn Grand Festival Top 32, Kanto Grand Festival Top 16, Rival of May
Specialty: Varieties of Pokémon and Attacks
Game Debut: Not In The Games
Anime Debut: Episode 380, "A Cacturne for the Worse" (season 8)
Most Recent Anime Appearance: Episode 463, "The Unbeatable Lightness Of Seeing" (season 9)
Interesting Tidbit: Harley claims to be May's biggest rival. That's in dispute. Harley often lies to other coordinators, including May, to try to get them to not enter a contest or do something that can get them disqualified from a contest, but he's rarely ever punished for such actions. Given his lies, people tend to not believe Harley when he's actually telling the truth. He's also been known to lend his prized Pokémon to Team Rocket on occasion...

If you're having trouble figuring out who evolves from what, take a look at a fourth-generation evolution guide I cooked up and put into this recycled thread. It will tell you just how the Pokémon line up in the fourth generation, who evolves from what, and even the Pokémon's DS types to help you figure Weakness and Resistance!

Cardmaking for this set is finished. All cards are done.

    Luka's Eevee
    40 HP {C}
    Basic Pokémon

    Poké-POWER Hunter Evolution
Once during your turn (before your attack), you may discard a basic Energy card attached to Luka's Eevee. If you do, search your deck for an Evolution card with Luka in its name that evolves from Special Eevee or Luka's Eevee whose type (color) is the same as the Energy discarded in this way and attach it to Luka's Eevee. If that Evolution card evolves from Special Eevee, treat it as if it instead evolves from Luka's Eevee. (This counts as evolving Luka's Eevee.). Shuffle your deck afterward.

    Morrison Berry
    Trainer Card (Pokémon Tool)

Attach Morrison Berry to 1 of your Pokémon with Morrison in its name that doesn't already have a Pokémon Tool attached to it. If that Pokémon is Knocked Out, discard this card.

During your next turn, discard Morrison Berry. If this Pokémon attacks during that turn, you may discard as many cards from your hand as you like. If you do, that attack's damage is increased by 10 for each card discarded in this way (before Weakness and Resistance).

    Harley Berry
    Trainer Card (Pokémon Tool)

Attach Harley Berry to 1 of your Pokémon with Harley in its name that doesn't already have a Pokémon Tool attached to it. If that Pokémon is Knocked Out, discard this card.

During your next turn, discard Harley Berry. For the rest of this turn, if either this Pokémon or the Defending Pokémon would become affected by a Special Condition, that Pokémon isn't affected by that Special Condition and, instead, the other Pokémon is now affected by that Special Condition.

    Morrison's Trees
    Trainer Card (Stadium Card)

Each Pokémon in play with Morrison in its name has Resistance to {F} -30. If a Pokémon with Morrison in its name already has Resistance to {F} -30, that Pokémon's Resistance is now {F} -60. Ignore this card's effect if a card named Dual Stadium is in play.

    Harley's Hall of Lies
    Trainer Card (Stadium Card)

If a Poké-POWER or Poké-BODY on a Pokémon with Harley in its name can be used once per turn, that Poké-POWER or Poké-BODY can instead be used as many times as a player likes per turn. Ignore this card's effect if a card named Dual Stadium is in play.

    Morrison's Hammock
    Trainer Card (Pokémon Tool)

Attach Morrison Berry to 1 of your Pokémon with Morrison in its name whose Resistance isn't {F} that doesn't already have a Pokémon Tool attached to it. If that Pokémon is Knocked Out, discard this card.

This Pokémon has a Resistance to {F} -30 as long as Morrison's Hammock is attached to this Pokémon.

    Harley's Storytelling
    Trainer Card (Supporter)

Place a Pokémon with an owner in its name facedown in front of you. Your opponent guesses the owner. If your opponent guessed right, discard your hand and draw 1 card. If your opponent guessed wrong, draw 3 cards.
