I got the Charizard, so I'll go ahead and place the spoiler here:

120 HP
RC - Collect Fire 30 - flip a coin, if heads attach two fire energy from discard pile to charizard
RCCC - Flame Pillar 60 - You may discard a fire energy, if you do, do 30 damage to any of your opponent's benched pokemon
Water Weakness, 2 Retreat

I mean, how much potential does this guy have? TONS

Sorry WPM, it's just that I don't normally believe someone, even if they say that they HAVE the cards. A person's word isn't solid evidence, but from what several others have said, I'm willing to believe it now.

But here's another thing: are we getting US-only cards, or are these from the possible ADV5?

As far as I know, this is the first appearance of these cards.

Yep, super-secret cards that the US gets first.

Not only that, but while many of the sandstorm cards have later turned up in Japanese sets, I surprised that few people have realized that we got a lot of them first too!

I just looked at Zeo's list and there is Mudkip and Marshtomp, but no Swampert. Could it be another secret card?

Not quite. Mudkip and Marshtomp were in the Japanese ADV4 set, not in the Japanese ADV3 set. (Err... Japanese ADV3 = English EX Dragon.) By the looks of it, certain cards from Japanese ADV4 were also added to Dragon (not unlike when certain cards from Japanese ADV4 were added to Sandstorm).

Actually, Swampert EX is in ADV4 (Magma VS Aqua: Two Ambitions!) Same with Sceptile EX.

Check it out and stop asking and saying "i want samper eX!"

Yeah, they're probably just saving them for our EX4.

Overall this set looks cool. I like how they're doing the same thing in Dragon as in Sandstorm, in adding cards from ADV4 (I won't refer to it as EX1 because that gets it confused with our EX1), like Forretress and Mudkip and Marshtomp. This secret card thing is great. I love that Charmander card's art and I can't wait to see the Charmeleon and Charizard. The fact that they're all holo is cool too...hey if they can make a Brock's Zubat rare (not holo, but still rare) then they can make a Charmander rare holo.

i got 2 holo charmanders and 2 holo charizards at the prerelease....but i don't have a single charmelon.....darn....
o well...at least i came in 3rd in 15 and older and won 16 glorious packs!!! i even got 3 latias, 1 latios, 2 magcargo, 1 rayquazza, golem ex, and dragonite ex!!!

Impossible to collect though. We got one in every box! So if you want to actually play the card, you would have to play 9-10 ultra rare cards(rarer than ex's).

Those 3 aren't ultra rare. Just as rare as any other holofoil in the set. EX's are the same.

(why does everyone think just because its a secret card that its automatically rarer than anything else)

Nope, no Swampert at all. My guess is they're using it to build anticipation for the next set in March

It has a lot to do with the shock factor, in my opinion. Here are a few case-specific examples:
-Simply seeing "secret" holographics is a big surprise. This is exactly like how people perceived Dark Raichu, because people didn't expect it at all!
-SEEING CHARMANDER AND CHARMELEON AS HOLOGRAPHICS! These cards are normally common/uncommon, so the idea makes anybody think, "Man, I SOOOO want a playset!" ;)
-This Charizard is the best one yet! The original was just awful, the Dark Charizard was nothing amazing or fast, the Blaine's Charizard was VERY sad, Shining Charizard was an all-time low for crappiness, and the easier-to-get Expedition Charizard was only just a little good. NOW, in a format with all sorts of cards, Charizard stands out as a major player.

Well, those are my 2 cents...or, specifically, 2,472 cents :thumb:

Does the Forretress, Graveler (card # 30), Horsea (common), Houndoom, Seadra (card # 40), Swellow, Geodude, (card # 56), Houndoom, Pineco, Spoink (card # 74), and Golem ex come from the Aqua/Magma (Adv1/ex) set that was recently released in Japan? I believe the Combusken, Groyvle, Marshtomp, Mudkip, Torchic, & Treecko do.

I really like this set, and have opened 7 boxes of it and have already started putting a deck together with it. I really liked the secret rares that we put in, cause even the TOs for the Dragon Prerelease were not even told about it. ;)

It's awesome that we still got new cards before Japan, even with ADV EX1 released. Not only Charmander, Charmeleon, and Charizard, but also Horsea and Seadra, Spoink, and Houndour and Houndoom.

My best guestimate is that the five (Houdour, Houndoom, Horsea, Seadra, and Spoink) will be in ADV5/EX2. It's a plausible theory, anyway.
