guys, lets all pray for the welfare of our friends in So Cal, wether you believe in god or not, you can always pray and well wish for them

My house in Spring Valley got evacuated. The fire is about 30 yards from my home, but it looks like they are in the process of containing it. I spent my night volunteering at one of the evac centers and let me say, a lot of those kids are scared for their lives. I ended up helping them solve puzzles and color. I did in fact color within the lines, so I'm pretty proud of myself. Yeah, it is a disaster, but the community in San Diego is very positive and upbeat, so for the most part, aside from tons of property damage we are alright.

No kidding. I was really shocked when I found out that with all the destroyed homes and stuff, there was only one fatality. Speaks volumes of the competency of those in charge of the evacuations.

I'm sure that, to some people, a random jerk like myself wishing well to those affected by this doesn't mean much, but I really do hope that all victims can reconstruct their lives as soon as they are able.

Wow, haven't seen you post in awhile, Nicole. Where ya been? :eek:

Those are cool pictures Kim. Fortunately, I live southeast of all the fires, so I'm in no danger at the moment, nor have I seen any Helicopters flying by.

Most of my friends who have been evacuated are allowed back into their homes now. Almost under control hopefully?

UPDATE - I just talked to Doreen (SD_Pokemom) about 10 minutes ago and she told me that she may be going home later this afternoon or tonight. Kim is doing alright also, hes just too busy to post.

So thats a good thing that nobody we know here is hurt or has lost something yet. :clap:

So lets keep pulling for the fires to be put out ASAP so Southern California can try to piece together what they have and try to get back to a normal life

I hope and pray that everyone is ok I also have a uncle who had to leave and right now he is staying with me I just pray that he has a home to return to in the end, and the same 4 u all.
 
I really hope you guys are OK... it must be horrible to have to leave your home and hope for the best.
